Very good Biblical insights and guide to relevance to current times
To many people, while general contours of Bible are known, many aspects, crucial to understanding the Bible as well as Christianity are not. This book beautifully connects the two.It clears the relationship which exists between the Old Testament and the New Testament. It provides the historical context of the later Pharaohs and the Israelites, the social, political and religious contect of the various conflicts. This is the Genesis or the Beginning. The two testaments comprising of various “Books”, authored over a period of time, by various thinkers and philosophers are nicely described along with relevant biographical details of the authors.The workbooks at the end of chapter and discussion preceding it provides a way to relate the biblical thought to modern era.A very good read indeed.
