I keep these on hand for hunting and outdoors, they get warm fast and last a while

But these every year. They keep the kids hands warm. They love them.

If you have ever worked in a warehouse, you know the saying- 10-20 degrees hotter in summer than outside; 10-20 degrees colder in winter than outside. Even if you have an above-your-station-heater, that does not help the hands that must always be exposed, even with woollen fingerless gloves, the hands get cold, as well as the body. These hotties can be put in your pocket close to your skin (the most under layer- I would wear a longsleeve thinner shirt, next maybe a flannel depending on how active the day would be, then a fleece vest (no matter how active the day would be). The hotties would go in the vest pocket. I would wear a jacket over all if away from work station. The hotties were always available for the hands, and always kept my core warm.They are worth the investment.

The packs hold heat. I was in -6F temps. My fingers were frozen with a pack inside my gloves. I had to hold the packs in the palms of my hands to stay warm. I suggest just putting the pack in your coat pockets and grasp them to keep hands warm. The packs did stay warm all day.

We bought this brand last year at Costco but the ones we bought this year from Amazon did not perform at all the same. They hardly got warm, especially compared to the no name brand our travel companions had. It may have just been the specific lot, or they changed the recipe, but I would not buy these. Unfortunately, we bought them in advance our trip, and now they say we’re past the return window.
