Light, easy to manoeuvre, powerful and really good.

I am super pleased with the cleaning power of this corded stick vacuum cleaner . Don't be put off by comments about the smallness of the dust reservoir, I found it easy to detach and empty . It's a lot heavier than my previous cleaner and I did wonder whether it would be suitable for me, 81 years old , but I'm very happy with it The attachments are easy to get on and off, a big plus when lacking stregnth in wrists and hands The power is quite exrtaordinary, it literally pulls you along so there is no pushing effort involved , so make sure you have no stray cables lying on the floor in it's path !!! I decided to replace my old cordless cleaner , which no longer held it's charge, with this corded cleaner , and I'm pleased with it's extra long cable It would be better if the cable was more pliable and flexible , it's very unwieldy , very stiff , but that's my only complaint It was a breeze putting it all together

I absolutely love this vacuum cleaner! I’ve had many Shark vacuums before including the cordless Stratos x2 and this is way better. The suction is fantastic on both hard floors and carpets. I am a vacuum fiend and this is by far the best I’ve had in over 40 years. Don’t hesitate. It is tall, so you may struggle if you’re on the smaller side height wise. Cable long and sturdy. Cleans right up to the edges. Love the light as well. The only negative is a very very small capacity dust container. Ridiculously small. You need to empty it after every clean but it is super easy to do and I am getting used to it. All in all fabulous. Well done Shark.

Just bought this Shark to replace a cordless Vax (I have has 2 Vax's). I have found cordless vacuums to be less than adaquate, their suction is much reduced, and power to clean carpets is not as great. The Shark however is a much better cleaner, it glides easily over hardwood and carpet changing automatically and clean very well, also it does have a scent pod which is nice, but not essential. The only drawback is the cord, its very stiff and not easy to wind back on for storage. That said its still 100% better than the cordless. Its well made and robust, i like the ability to clean under furniture and use as a hand set. Its noticable that its picking up more, and also very easy to empty

Brilliant hoover, sucks up the dust so much better than my previous shark. It senses hard floors and carpeted automatically or you can override that and select hard floors/carpet yourself with the button. It's light weight, folds over for easier storage, smells lovely. The only negative I have is that the wire is actually very very stiff and hard to wind up as others have stated. I'm a daily hoover person with a no shoes in the house policy, 3 kids and 3 dogs.. The picture is of the dust it got from hallway runner. I was so shocked at how much it put my old shark to shame.

It is definitely a very powerful vacuum cleaner that does its job and I am very happy with it, but it is really heavy, it does not maintain its vertical position and the cable, although I could find an explanation due to the power it has, is still much too rigid, which is why I gave it 4 stars.

So I wrote this review with the difficulty that I had in a small home, with carpets, mats and lino... Firstly, it's heavy, I have back and neck issues, so if you do have problems there you may find it too much. I'm 5ft3 and I found the stick extremely long and it has no adjustments. Good for taller people maybe. It works easily on the lino and is quieter. On carpet it sucks extremely well, perhaps too well and is noisier but not too bad. When you have pile, it turns off as though something is getting sucked up. You can't turn the suction down for carpets that are shaggy. I found it clumsy to use around areas that are small. Trying to lift it around things so they didn't get sucked into the rollers. Be careful if you have wiring, it will suck it straight in. No forgiveness. 🫣 Almost self propels because the suction is too strong. Clear, large carpeted areas I imagine will be ok. Shaggy mats, it just turns off. Edging of mats it sucks up and turns off. Now it does suck from the edges of skirting boards, this I did like. However, due to there being no rubber protection along the front edge, if it knocks the paintwork, it chips it. As I found out and I was being very careful. The plastic along the front edge needs rubber protection. I found when it came to me needing to vacuum, it became a dread rather than a luxury, which it should be for what it cost and how it works. I actually put off vaccuming. This told me it wasn't a right for me. It's a nice touch having the scent box but I didn't look into how much replacements would cost because I returned it. To sum up, it needs to be lighter, needs to have suction control, need to be able to adjust the stick. Needs some cushion along the front edge. Colour was nice, suction excellent for large areas on the correct carpet pile. Great for lino or hard wood flooring in largerer areas. Not for small areas and getting into places that are small. Too clumsy, heavy, and too long. Hope this helps.

I previously had the HZ500UKT but it returned it under its warranty, despite there being no blockages it was not picking up dirt like it used to. I'm at the age where household appliances are exciting (don't judge!!) and as soon as this arrived I opened it up like I was a kid at Christmas, packed well and each part carefully padded, was very easy to set it up and used it straight away. Now I hover multiple times a week, and using this one for the first time it was pretty gross just how much dirt it picked up from each room - its done a great job. The only reason I didn't get another HZ500UKT model was because the HZ4000UKT power detect was on offer and cheaper. If you're on the fence get this one. As mentioned in the description it has a 10m mains power cord, which is great because I can plug it in my hall downstairs and do all the rooms upstairs without having to mess around unplugging it. Also comes with some good brush and hose attachments.
