Yes it is. Has a detachable panel that separate them so will easy take a 150 to 600mm lens

Q: Is it large enough for a 16'' macbook?

I Honestly Do not know. I do not own anything Apple. I do own a 17" Laptop but I dont think that would fit in. If it did fit the Bag would end up too heavy to carry. If you read about it, it says "Max 15.6" Laptop Compartment with Side Zipper Access" So NO a 16" might not fit.

Q: Will this hold a 600 lens with camera attached

On my bag no you cannot remove the middle part of the bag .I can get camera with a28-300 Attached so I don't think a 600mm
