Buying a camera? Read this.
First: I received nothing for this review. This is important as many, many of the cheaper, Chinese "brand" cameras get their good reviews by bribing people to take down bad ones with free stuff. I own/have owned probably about 15 trail cameras and have had them out in the woods in both freezing temperatures and 100+ degrees and 100% humidity. Except for this brand and the expensive American brands (Browning), they all break fairly quickly. Putting a camera in a great spot and coming back weeks later to find the camera took zero pictures is the ultimate bummer. Don't buy bs like "wosoda" and "wosports". It will fail, quickly. This camera is affordable, reliable, packed with features, super easy to use and takes absolutely amazing footage. The night time stuff is remarkable, and better than any other camera I have-- including a 200 dollar Browning. I use my cameras to find and look at cool animals, not to hunt. Hence, my needs are actually significantly GREATER. I'm not trying to locate a buck to shoot (I click right past all the stupid white tail pics), I'm looking to view smaller, faster, more interesting animals. Many cameras take such crappy footage, that these smaller animals look like little white blurs at night, or just undistinguished brown blurs during the day. This camera catches astonishingly clear, detailed, night time imagery, and crystal clear day time imagery. I've included a video of a weasel. Note you can see the tip on the tail, the face, etc. In the bobcat photo, you can see accurate depth, detail and color. Most other cameras you get a washed out, pixelated piece of garbage. If you're new to this, just trust me. I OWN 5 OF THESE AND THEY'RE ALL GREAT. This is the camera for you if you need an affordable, very high quality product.

Best Trailcam I've used In 25 years
This Is A Truly Outstanding trailcam And Better than Most At twice the Price . There Seems To Be A lot Of Confusion Over The Field Of View. There Are 2. The Motion Sensor Is Either 60 Or 120 Degs With The Side Sensors On And The camera Lense FOV That's 63 Degs. That Causes A Telephoto Effect. So If You're Doing A Wide Target Area Move The Cam Back Some And Do A Detection Test. Both My Cameras Had The Video Problem ( A freeze Frame Picture & 30 Sec Audio About 60 % Of The time) . I Emailed Support & They Sent Me An Email With The New Firmware Update Attached. You download The Update , Drop It In An SD Card , Follow The Inst In The Email And You're Good To Go. The Update Also Added The Picture +Video Mode. The Picture & Video quality Is Outstanding . Its Crisp & Sharp. The IR LEDs vary In Output To Prevent Whiteout Which Is Great But If There Is A Close Reflecting Object Like A Tree In The Foreground The Rest Will Be Darker. This Cam Will light Up An Area 75 Ft Away Like High Noon In B+W Or Give Perfect Exposure On A Deer Face At 5 Ft With A Dark Background. The Cam Also Has A 3rd Mode At Dusk & Dawn. A Special Sensor & Sony Software Give Another 30 Mins Or So Of Extended Daylight Color Video. Not As Good As The Normal Day Vids But The A3s The Only One I Know Of With This Goody. Battery Life & Storage - The Over 3 Mon Standby Batt Life Is Fine But Unless You're Tracking Snow Lepards Or Bigfoot And Can Wait 3 Months Why. The Point Is With Most Every Goody It Is Low Use . On The Other Hand On 20MP & 1080 FHD Video It A Memory Hog. ( HD Takes Space) The Cam Will Take SD Cards Up To 128 Gig. However 8 AA Batteries Will Only Fill About 32 Gig (That's About 250-300 1Min HD Vids) If You Have It Set On A Feed Station Looking For That Special Buck That May Be About 4 Days. If You Want To Go To 64 Or 128 Gig Cards You Need An External 12V Battery And A Plug In That's 4MM (Yellow Tip) (Important - Do Not Get The 90 Deg Plug In - They Don't Go In Far Enough To Make Good Contact - Will Fall Out & You'll Be Un Happy. Also Put In The 8 Batteries - It Will Keep Your Presets During Trans And Is A Backup If Some Coon Pulls Your Power Plug. - Amazon Has The Stealthcam Battery Box Under "Batteries" And I Think It has A 4mm (Yellow Tip) Plug. I've Been Running 2 A3s 24/7 For The Last 3 Months I Just Ordered Another.

Trail Cameras
This 2 pack waterproof trail camera is awesome. I use these for deer hunting and they work great. The video and picture quality is very good, I'm not expecting movie theater quality here. I just want relative good quality photos and videos to identify wild animals on public property. I paired the cameras with 64GB memory cards and it is more than enough space to record movement. Night vision is also pretty impressive and works well enough to get video confirmation on legal animals to hunt. My only complaint is the size of the clips to secure the camera to a tree/post are very small. A belt style lock will work fine, but not enough room to fit a small size cable to secure the camera on public land. REQUIRES 8 x AA batteries

Reliable, solid camera for the price
This camera works out of the box once you have your AA batteries and an SD card (I am using a regular size 32 GB SanDisk card bought on Amazon for 9.99). It has survived wind and hail and takes very good pictures. The pictures are deleted by pressing a review then delete button on the camera or you can hook up the camera to your computer (or use a card reader) to view/delete. There is a 30 second count down function that allows you to set up the camera without causing it to take pictures of you setting it up (the motion triggers the photos). The pictures are surprisingly clear! There are 3 sensitivity setting and the first time I had it on high sensitivity it took 500 pictures, then only 25 better photos not the medium sensitivity setting. The camera is so easy to use that you don't need a lot of instruction to use it out of the box. I wish the viewing area on the camera was larger but downloading to your computer fixes that. Great camera and it will capture people and creatures in the area of interest with amazing detail in daylight or nighttime,

Time will tell, appears to be a good value camera. Easy enough to set up the menu explains itself. Captured hedgehogs cats and moths on its first use so can't complain that this was at night time. Daytime the quality of picture is very very good as is the sound it picks up the slightest sounds day or night well pleased let's hope it continues to keep going. Having to add to this review that after a couple of weeks night time recording failed. Carried out normal checks new batteries and known working SD card.It is on way back for a refund. Will buy a model I already have and which worksok.

We bought this to see the critters that were destroying our back lawn last summer, so we could stop guessing and actually see what was going on. We had put up extremely bright motion sensitive solar spotlights and also a motion sensitive sprinkler so what we saw right away was very entertaining footage of skunks and raccoons reacting with shock to being lit up and sprayed with water while they busily rolled up and dug large sections of lawn. The camera handled the sudden changes in light levels beautifully, took great pictures and in general did everything it was supposed to do faultlessly. What I liked the most was that it was extremely easy to understand exactly how to use it. The file storage system is a little eccentric but again, easy to figure out. The support strap is probably great in the woods but awkward in a large open space. Next year we will buy the stick that can screw into the bottom of the camera. All in all, we are huge fans of this camera.

I bought this for dual purpose - wildlife spotting and security. I live in an area with no mobile signal and the stone walls of the house are too thick for wifi to pass through so many affordable outdoor security cameras will not work for me. This battery operated cam uses a memory card so no need for hard wiring, wifi or mobile signal. Sure, the batteries will need replacing eventually which is an ongoing expense, but it solves my problem. Day time footage is crystal clear. Night time is more grainy but to be expected, and still very good. Motion sensor is very sensitive but I think it can be adjusted. I found that leaves moving, birds flying through and even the light casting shadows have all triggered a recording! So far I have mostly recorded neighbourhood cats and me falling down the back garden steps! Overall a good purchase.
