I like these dogs. They are fast and work with both 20mm and 3/4" dog holes. I would like them a bit better if the knobs were not so large.

these are very hand and a clever version of bench dogs. they expand in the hole as you tighten them giving a very secure grip. For the price, I would have liked to see some more accessories come with them. as it is all you get is a knob to tighten them down. they are great for making jigs and fixtures bolt down to your workbench. I just wish they had something like a flat stop you could use to position the edge of a board. they are not cheap at nearly 10 bucks a dog, but what is these days? a quality product for sure, but most of the time I think you can get away with a regular old beach dog.

These expandable bench dogs will be great in my shop as I continue to work more with my Kreg table, converted to 20mm holes, and another MFT type top in the works for firmly attaching jigs, stops, fences, or whatever to the table. To use these, the dog is placed into the table, fully below the surface, and then run the 1/4"-20 bolt up through whatever you need to hold down to the table and tighten the knob. In my testing, just one dog firmly held a test board in place. The included bolts are 3” long and fully threaded, but if you need a longer reach for whatever reason you can simply swap it out with a longer 1/4"-20 bolt; same goes for using a shorter bolt. You could also use a nut and washer in place of the knobs if you needed something that was smaller in diameter or height. These are pricey, but I think they are great value for the utility that they provide.

These are awesome expandable dogs for woodworking. And I specifically went through a full MFT upgrade to be able to use these dogs. My previous MFT is smaller and I used those for CNC router mostly. These dogs are a major upgrade a many steps ahead in technology in action. I gotta say, I'm very impressed with these. These are easy to to use, turn the knob and the expandable dogs work evenly and precisely to jig my piece in a fixed position, and rest is up to the cutters, and I got perfect results, every time. I've been using these for 5 weeks now, and I love these. BOW Products are awesome, didn't expect this much until I put my hands on them. I was going to wait a little longer to give it more test, and try to see if there are any con's to say about this, nada. These are perfect, perfect bench dogs for the MFT I got.

This is a nice set of bench dogs. They’re very versatile. You can use them to not only hold work, but to clamp down jigs on your bench top. I build a lot of boxes, so I wish there were 8, not 6, so I could use them to build two boxes at once. They’re night quality and come with a foam insert that you can use for storage or organization in a drawer or systainer.
