Good battery
Had this battery for a couple years now been a good battery no problems last quite a while. Pretty good run time however, with most knock off batteries, the battery level indicator is not accurate. I wish Makita made a high power battery. Overall, I do recommend this battery.

I'm happy with them.
HEAVY, BUT DOES A GOOD JOB, I've had my two batteries for over a year now and although they are heavy, they are not unmanageable. They work on all my Makita products, especially the chain saw. I use the Makita charger and so far I am very pleased with them. I'm about to order two more and I'm hoping they are of the same quality.

Definitly not 9AH, but stil good value.
These are definitely not on par with the name brand or deliver the rated Amp Hour life. The batteries are huge, and almost 2x the weight of my 5AH name brand batteries so be ware of that as wll. I'm using them in a 36V pair on a leaf blower. The name brand 5AH batteries last 15-20 min on average. So these should give me 27-36 min of life. I'm getting more like 18-25min range. So these are equivalent to about a 6AH name brand battery. LiON batteries sometimes take a few charge cycles to give a full life, but after about a dozen charges I swear I'm getting a few min less, not more. they also tend to over heat and shut down at about 2/3 discharge where my name brand ones do not. If I give it a couple min break half way though they don't do this. If they do shut down, wait about 5 min and they will come back to life again with the meter changing from 0% to, in my case, about 40%. That said these are also 1/3 the price of the name brand so it's still a good deal. I wouldn't get these for your main batteries but for a back up or additional pair they are a good value.

Nice lil power upgrade
100% charge lasts forever, went weeks without using this and was still at full capacity. I'm not a big contractor or daily avid construction type user, but I like to do many projects big and small over time. Mostly for exercise and to keep busy. With my slew of Makita tools, its nice to know theres a long lasting and durable battery that I can rely on and more than likely wont see the charger till after my project is completed. Sometimes for weeks on end, I'm retired so I take alot of breaks lol. When not tooling around, I use it to keep my cell phone topped off during 2 to 4 day storm power outages. and to keep that Bluetooth music playing 4 or 6 hours longer than the onboard battery can. Basically if you have and use Makita tools, this ones a win/win purchase in my eyes. Aside from the USB charger/flashlight, I've used this on the router, the sawz-all, drill, grass shears and circular saw. Been using off and on for a few months now and its only seen the charger once. Doubt I'll need a second 9AH, but maybe just to have extra assurance on standby for later power outages. And you cant beat the price, worth every penny.

Ok as a regular battery but it's not high capacity, i bet it has weights in it lol
I dont think im getting the full rated power out of this. Also the power indicator always shows 100% even when its about dead. This is probably crap but works ok as a regular battery just not actually extended.

Awesome battery for the price
Yes it's big and fairly heavy but I don't mind the weight or size. In my Makita drills and leaf blower it lasts much longer than my real 3.0 and 4.0 batteries. I have a 6.0 of these and have had it for several years and no problems at all. Will definitely buy more of these when needed. I have adapters for other brands of tools and use these with no problem and can stick with one charger instead of many different types.

It doesn't work as it should
It works at first, but when you use it a little bit, it losses power. Even if the gauges are showing 80%
