This device has a sturdy mechanism inside and at first seems difficult to turn the knob right out of the package. But like all kitchen appliances, you have to rinse it in warm soapy water. You can take it apart (squeeze buttons on the sides) and take out the blades. Let it dry completely and viola it's easier to turn in both directions (probably can use little veg oil too, if needed). For the price, the blades are stainless steel and solid. You have to make sure the cups on each end are locked in place. And yes you have to turn the knob at the edge of the counter as you push down, so what. After use, I wouldn't put it in the dishwasher, take it apart and rinse with warm soapy water again and let it dry. You only have to turn the knob a few times each way to break up whole walnuts. Not that big of a deal. It does a nice job. This is coming from someone older with weak hands. However, I wouldn't use it for everything. Avoid really hard nuts and use it for mostly dry small foods (meat?, I don't think so). Get an electric device if you have no strength at all. Good luck.

Not a nut grinder. Broke on the first use. Might work for dried fruit as that seems to be its market intent.

This nut chopper is the best!!! It works really fast n chopping nuts. Great on ice cream & salads! Good product 2 have around!!!

Nuts grind well but container top comes off when ypur grinding. Doesn't lock in place and hard to grip while grinding. Needs a rubber base so it doesn't slide and a locking top otherwise it would get 5 stars. Easy to clean

Works well, grinds okay. Does not get to less than a "crumble" grind and I had to finish with a knife. Makes more like a textured topping than a grind. Is not adjustable so no amount of grinding makes it finer. Good part is you can flip over like an hour glass and keep grinding (won't get finer but does get any that were larger). Easy rinse clean up. Manual handle works fine. You get what you pay for - simple tool.

Have used it once to chop up some almonds and it worked great. Simple design and well made - looks like it will “go the distance”. Ran it through the dish washer (top rack), no problem.

Not for all nuts as stated. With almonds the blades dulled then finally broke into the crushings. Into my ice cream and eventually my mouth. BE Careful!

製品は値段相応なのかもしれませんが初期の段階で若干ガタつくので永くは持たない印象です。 クルミだけなら問題なさそうですがアーモンドはしんどそうです。 また毎回洗うことを考えるとすり鉢のほうが理にかなっていたなと使ってみて感じました。 手軽に洗えるようになる工夫ともう少し細かく砕けるとよりよいと感じました。 貴重な機会をありがとうございました。
