The sauce is best used to give an extra boost of flavor for steak--nothing else, not pork, not chicken, and certainly not fish--and, as such, I use it for every steak I fry in the pan, or on the barbecue, unless I used teriyaki sauce--for me, its one or the other. I love the tangy taste of A1, and am glad that I can buy it here in Japan. Once opened, store it in the refrigerator. You only need a spoonful or so for one steak, so it will last a long time. It tastes something in the area of a fruity, thick, slightly sweet Worchester sauce.
