the product was more compact than I thought which when you are plugging it into the bottom of your phone is a good thing. The qaulity of image is very good and the soft ware works well and does all it should.I use it to assist with housing defects inspections and the level of fetail provided is adequate for general report including high and low temperature read outs which are very accurate. A grear little product that tdoes what is says on the tin!

I bought this camera due to price. It is the first thermal camera I have ever used. I understood the resolution isnt as good as a lot of the more expensive cameras but after doing a fair bit of research it seemed like it would be ok to have a scout around the house looking for heat leaks, checking radiators for air etc.Sadly, the image quality is very very poor. Disregard the images in the marketing above - you will not get images anywhere near as good. Everything is still just too blurry and merges into each other. The 'super IR' is just simply rubbish - very little difference with this on or off. You can barely make out detail of objects regardless if you are up close or from a distance of a couple of meters away.The only time this has worked well for seeing outline of objects is when having a bit of fun - the temperature is -3C out at the moment - I pointed the camera at the dog when she came in from outside and can see her fur temperature warming up when she comes back in - it has made me a bit more appreciative how much the cold affects the dog lol.The app itself is pretty good - lots of configuration options but sadly the camera is too much of a let down so the app isnt up to what is needed.I do love the case - it will certainly protect the camera and converters - I am running this camera with an iPhone 12 Pro Max so the camera seemed the perfect candidate for upgrading my phone in the future being as it is USB C/lightning connections.I was originally looking at the Flir One Gen 3 - I really liked the idea of the standard camera merge with thermal camera with that unit to be able to distinguish underlying structure of whatever I am looking at however the big put off with that camera is the battery - from what I have read, it only lasts a couple of years and then replacement battery is super expensive.EDIT 1 - added 2 images to show the thermal cam in action. SuperIR is turned on. The non thermal image is the PIP image take at the same time.EDIT 2 - I have been in touch with HIKMicro customer services regarding the camera - their support and service is top notch - very pleased I went with this manufacturer

Excellent for the price. Among other things I now know where the central heating pipes run under our kitchen floor! It's easy to see where heat is. I can imagine using it to pipoint problem areas on eleectronic circuit boards, for example. It's sensitive enough that I can see my heat footprint on the floor after I've walked over it in shoes.

Just works. Ideal for home use, and perfect for finding radiator pipes and air leaks round doors and windows. Good fun too

Beware this device is not compatible with modern Android handsets.
