Works real well. I got it for myself and relatives. It works well enough in Japanese and spanish. I plan on using it for Thai and it should work well. Simple to use, you speak and press the button closest to you and they speak and release on the far side of the button. Brilliant. Fits easily in your hand and charges quickly.

The sound is very poor, likely from a poor speaker – sounds like it's down the drain. Secondly the automatic transition zone from one language to the other is way too loud and distracting and there is no way of reducing this annoying noise. The translations are of good quality but the poor nature of the handset makes this something I wish I had not bought.

Wherever you travel, you will be able to communicate in almost any language.You will not have to point at pictures on a menu and you can make certain your food does not contain anything you areallergic to.

This electronic translator functioned fine (when used between English / Spanish translations), but what made it a NO-GO for me was that it made an annoying, loud squawk sound when the translate button was pressed. The volume of the irritating sound could not be adjusted lower, which I feel is unacceptable for use in any public setting where semi-private communication is desired -- such as a restaurant. Thus, I returned this electronic translator and purchased a different one that works better (no annoying sounds) and has more features at a similar price!

Once you download the app and go through the required steps to connect to your phone, it was easy to set up translating from English to any number of languages. I’m hoping that it works as well in Spain as it does in the US. Time will tell

I bought this device thinking it would work independently. It's understandable that the manufacturer forces the use of its app to download the languages ​​you'll be using or any necessary notifications, such as an update. It's unacceptable that every time you try a translation, you have to use the app. When you're traveling, you can't wait for an emergency to confirm that if there's no signal, the device won't work. If your phone runs out of charge, you're adrift. It's not functional.
