The vent works as it should. Light weight so louvers could easily dent if mishandled. No problems with install. Opens and closes smoothly when auto attic fan kicks on. Quiet too. Functions well. Cannot speak to durability but so far I'm happy with purchase. Super cool to watch the vent open when auto fan turns on. Hoping that the exhaust set up we created pulls all the hot air from the attic and cools the house for the coming Florida Summer. We bought the Quiet Cool Green, this vent matched it perfectly. Hoping to save a few bucks on the power bill. If stats are correct the investment would have paid for itself in the 1st year!

10 months later, it's still holding up and functions as expected. Only issue is that the BANG loudly as the wind blows across the house. I'd keep that in mind if this is to be installed in your attic. Some foam weather stripping on the base of the louvers helped.

Purchased to replace a plastic louver (that broke) for my gable end attic fan. I wish that I had bought this in the first place. It wasn't an exact match to the plastic one, so it required some installation modifications, but it has worked flawlessly. It's pretty quiet when the fan isn't operating, except when experiencing extremely high winds, which is understandable. Great product.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I used this as a inlet vent in my greenhouse! Works awesome. As my vent fan is on the opposite side, when the fan is on this vent automatically opens to let fresh air in. It's great crossflow when used together. Only downside is there is not a screen included.
