I absolutely love this Nishiki Premium Sushi Rice! The 10lb bag is great value and lasts a while. The grains are consistently short and plump, cooking up perfectly sticky and fluffy every single time. It has a lovely, slightly sweet flavor and a pleasant chewy texture that works wonderfully for sushi, onigiri, or even just as a side for stir-fries. It rinses clean and absorbs water well. If you want authentic, high-quality results at home, this is the rice to buy.

Fabulous rice, and worth spending the extra cash as it's miles apart from others

Delicious rice! I haven't tasted rice this good since I lived in Japan. ONLY PROBLEM: you can't follow regular rice cooking instructions when using Japanese rice. Nishiki rice (and all Japanese rice) requires a different amount of water to cook in comparison to other types of rice such as, American long grain or basmati rice. If using a regular rice cooker, the ratio for this rice is one part rice, to 2 parts water. So if you want to cook 1 cup of nishiki rice, you'll need 2 cups of water. After washing rice thoroughly (I spend quite a long time washing my rice, emptying the water and repeating several times. This is what I was taught to do with the rice, when I lived in Japan. See videos for more info). Add salt, water, cook . It's delicious!! Enjoy!
