The best thermal paste out right now 2025
Alright. You, The one scrolling through reviews, you need to buy this thermal paste. I was skeptical and thought "this is going to turn out like every other thermal paste i have ever gotten"For the first time ever, i saw 28c on a 14900k in bios using this thermal paste. I use bios temperature as that shows how good my mounting pressure/thermal paste spread is. With kryonaut extreme, NT-H2, Arctic-mx6, and others i have only ever saw 32-38c in bios.some things to be aware of, THIS IS A VERY VISCOSIOUS PASTE. This is to counteract pump out effect. Also you will 100% need to spread this paste. do not do any "dot" method. seriously. If you are not a good spreader then it may take a couple more minutes then usual swap of thermal paste but it is 100% worth it if you have a very high heat output CPU or GPU.14900k in cinebench23 old thermal paste- 78-82c 10 minute run14900k in cinebench23 new ID Cooling 45- 74-77c 10 minute runIn games i barely touch 70c even in cpu heavy games. before i can see spikes to 80. no longer the case.

The best thermal paste I have ever used.
I went with the X45 because it finished first in the tests run by Tom's Hardware. It is very thick, so you will want to heat it in a hot cup of water for 5-10 minutes before applying it, but the way it performs in incredible! My laptop runs hot anyway due to the i9-11950H processor, but my motherboard was swapped out recently, and the thermal paste they used, supposedly the best one provided by Dell (they use three different levels of quality), and it was running hotter than ever.Since putting the X45 on, my laptop is as cool as it has ever been on my legs. I also run two temperature-monitoring programs, and while they fluctuate wildly at times, I would say that the temperature has dropped 20 degrees Fahrenheit, but closer to 30, most of the time.Don't let the ease-of-use scare you away. I highly recommend this product, and I am not a paid endorser, in any form.

First time buyer, impressed and will buy again!
Im really impressed with this and for the price really amazing, I found out about this I believe through Tom's Hardware review of paste and pads. Normally im a die hard Noctua and back then Tuniq paste fan not gonna lie and still am for Noctua, but I decided hey let me update myself on newer products and such. After reading the review and no cons from Toms besides availability (at that time), I decided let me give this a shot. My gpu really needed a refresh of paste as I was hitting 82-86C after I decided to give it a good blow out, even on basic games like league and I didnt want to try more intensive games for the time being to be safe. I also was suggested by a friend to replace my thermal pads (since I havent done paste or those in 5/6 years..got an Asus ROG Strix 2070 Super Advanced) and got some from OwlTree.. After carefully taking apart my GPU, wow im surprised it held how it did, my paste was pretty much all gone and what was left was crusty and falling apart and my pads just disintegrated.. After cleaning it all up, got it back together and applied the paste.. Decided this time to spread it like suggested, used to do another method..like others have mentioned in the other reviews, it was hard to spread ngl (saw someone mention to warm it up a tad, will do on my cpu next time, so its not as hard)..so just be aware, I didnt use much, just took my time with a pea size at first and tried my best to get the remnants off the scraper, but added like idk maybe a peppercorn size worth more to finish off the job. All done and im very well amazed, I know the pad replacement helped, but I know from what I saw of the lack of paste on the IHS of the GPU, this truly was the game changer! My GPU idle temps went down 5-7C at 29-32C and the on demand gaming (I even seen clocks I havent seen in a bit because of throttling) temps went to 42-43C!!! Now thats about 40C improvement, I know maybe your case might not be as big, but wow, very amazed with this product and probably will continue to buy moving forward.

The Good Stuff
I bought this to reapply on my processors heat sink. Apparently what they applied at the factory was done haphazardly, causing the cooling fans to run all the time trying to keep things cool. I bought this brand after reading reviews showing the efficiency of the heat transfer. After applying, I found the fans to drop in speed allowing my PC to be much quieter. My only complaint is that they didn't supply any instructions on the proper way to apply it. My first attempt I had put way too much on it. After doing a web search, proper application was quick and easy. I highly recommend this product.

Really Good TIM
I have used multiple pastes over the years including Kingpin, Corsair, Noctua, ThermalGrizzly, PTM, and the generic stuff that comes with coolers. I read a review stating this came as close to liquid metal as a paste could so I figured why not try it. On my 9800x3d compared to KPX and PTM, this paste has performed the best. It is not easy to work with and is hard to spread thin at room temp (hint) but the result is good. I had a Lian Li Hydroshift 360 AIO I tried with KPX with PTM, temps with both were 65 in games. Good result right? With this paste the 9800x3d stays 55 in games on a Atmos 240 AIO, in a smaller case! I know thats multiple variables but its also a 10 degree difference on a cooler with less thermal capacity. So its obviously helping here. Maybe the cold ate is better, but 10 degrees better? Have to give this stuff at least a couple degrees of credit. And No, I dont have the old case or 360 AIO to test anymore so no real A B comparison but in my book its a win.

Not usable
The paste I got was so thick it was unusable. Would not spread at all. Just kind of rolled into a ball and was way to dry. Threw in trash. Will not use again.

Thermal "glue" almost broke my CPU
EDIT: Alright, this stuff works pretty dang good on a running PC, but still be very careful with it! It does not spread easily so it's nearly impossible to get an even distribution. It ripped out my CPU from it's socket in the motherboard because it turned into a "glue" and wouldn't let go of my heatsink. I'm lucky I somehow didn't bend my pins. I'm only giving it a three star because of that heart attack moment. But besides that, it's good stuff
