Incredibly heavy but absolutely perfect
As the new owner of a bread maker, I was keen to capitalise on my learning curve and bake the dough in the oven rather than just bread maker loaves. My first attempt, on a baking tray with water beneath, was softer than we like so I treated myself to this bread pot which was a lot cheaper than the one I was hankering after. It's perfect. I love the cheery orange colour and the cream interior. It gives a lovely, crusty finish to the loaves I bake in it, just as we like them. I don't put it in water to clean but take a damp, soapy cloth and rub that over the inside and any marks/residue come right off. I put a thin film of oil on the bare cast iron each time I use it to prevent rusting. An easy 5 stars from me.

Would give it more than 5 stars if I could!
Quite simply amazing. The difference in my sourdough is very obvious, even compared to using a conventional Dutch oven (with a bread sling to get it in/out of the pot). I can only assume this is due to the design which gives the large dome for the “lid on” cooking (to give a good space for steam to generate) and then the more shallow base means that the “lid off” portion of the cook gives the bread all around direct heat for more even browning. The quality of the enamel is excellent. Please IGNORE the description which says it is 22cm! It is not, the base is actually 26cm (not including the handles) which makes it larger than the Le Creuset version (which is more than double the price!). This extra 2cm means that a standard large, round banneton loaf fits easily in this oven whereas would be too large for the Le Creuset. I bought the red one which is a lovely deep, “ombré” finish. Cannot recommend this enough, the value for money is outstanding and the quality is exceptional.

One white loaf and one linseed
We normally use a bread maker for the full process but we found the bread was stodgy - so we mix and knead it in the machine and then use the beautiful cloche to bake in the oven - delicious and easier to cut - love it and the colour - perfection
