Runs small
Runs small. Order half to full size up. Had to give away to my sister. The 39 is not a size 9 like the description says.

Love them so much!
Perfect for my heel spur. I wear these at home as slippers since it is not advised to walk around barefoot when you are flat footed and having issues. I had a pair of these shoes almost 15 years ago. It helped me then and helping my feet heal now!

NOT FREE RETURNS
The shoe didn't quite fit, a little too small. I was definitely going to order a size up once the return was complete. My only option for return was the UPS store. Fine, I went. The UPS store charged me $2.16 to print the label - this has never happened before - and I asked if I could just print wirelessly to one of their printers for cheaper and the guy said their "printers can't do that for these labels" so I thought it was a special label. Nope, just scammed. Guy printed it on regular paper. It's less about the $2 and more about not having an option until it was too late. Now I won't be ordering the next size up.

Runs SMALL
Ok, I’m seriously annoyed. First of all, please IGNORE the Q&As for these sandals. I stupidly heeded their suggestions even tho I knew from experience that Euro sizing does not translate as stated here. A Euro 38 is NOT a US size 8. TYPICALLY, a 39 would be an 8, a 40 would be an 8.5 and so on. I’ve included a pic here from a different shoe company that shows this to be the case. I am usually a US size 8. Now, in sandals, I can sometimes fit a 7.5, and in pointed boots, I often prefer an 8.5. Considering this, along with the Q&A and the first review, I first bought a size 38. They were too small. So I returned them for a 39. At first the 39 seemed too short but they turned out to be just right. They mold nicely to your feet. Over time tho, the thin leather stretches and they feel too loose and must be tightened but there’s not much room to tighten. Basically they’re kinda wide and your foot can slip out, but it’s worth it cause they’re comfortable. (You’ll get used to the weird metatarsal bump) Unlike just about everything else on Amazon, these do not arrive the next day.

Can run a bit small depending on how you like your shoes to fit
I am typically in between sizes (8.5/9) -- lengthwise I am a true 39, but if the shoe is too narrow in the toe box I usually go for a 39.5 or 40. My last pair of Worishofers I purchased a size 40 (since they don't offer half sizes) in the 711 style. After reading all the reviews I decided to go a little bit up in size. They fit fine but after living in them practically all summer they became really broken in and a lot looser. They still fit and were comfortable but I wondered if I should try a size 39. So for my next pair I purchased some 251s in size 39. Lengthwise they fit juuust right - my foot filled in the sandal toe to heel, with my heel almost exactly flush with the back of the shoe. Depending on how you like to wear your shoes you may find this to be a perfect fit or, if you prefer more room in the back, a bit too small. In the case of the latter, go a size up. I can comfortably fit into both a 39/40 but I'm also comparing two different shoe styles. For a slide style like the 251, I prefer the size 39. The toe area is rather wide already and I know after wearing them all the time (they are truly so comfortable and light) they will stretch and mold to my feet nand fit even better.

Sizing Issue but Happy
I picked up these here in the purple, which really is a muted, dark lilac in what appears to be nubuck. It's a lovely color and just about perfect for me.I usually wear an 8.5 in a dress shoe and an 8 in a sandal. So I tried these in 38 and 39. The 38 were too short and the 39 was just right. I'd say that the 39 is true to a size 8 US in terms of length. Someone needing the length of a 8.5 might want to size up to a 40.After wearing my first pair for about 3 hours, I knew that I'd need more and immediately purchased a second pair at a fantastic off-season price. These Worishofers aren't the 2" or 3" wedges that I'm usually drawn to. But the shoes are incredibly stable on the foot and there is no slippage at the heel or the ball. They give me amazing comfortable, sure footed-ness, and more lift than a flat. In fact, I think I prefer them to flats.Definitely pleased with these.

Very red, very shiny, a little off?
My wife bought this, so this is her review: (Amazon.com seems to treat us as one person, electronically.) The patent is so red and shiny it looks rather plastic. The leather is very stiff. They are very cute wedge-style sandals, though, not too high, and felt "soft" walking. I would have considered keeping them and wearing them first with thin cotton socks in the hope of making the leather soften and conform better to the top of my foot, as the lower edge of the band cut into my foot immediately. There was another problem with the foot bed, however. Maybe it's my feet, or this particular pair of shoes, but while the ergonomic foot bed fit like it was made for me on the right foot, on the left it hit the wrong spots. I didn't think it was worth the trouble to see if another pair in the same size fit both feet, since I bought on-line.I should add that I occasionally buy size 8 1/2 (mostly for toe room in closed shoes) instead of an 8, and these were size 8. Unfortunately, 8 1/2 wasn't available and the shoe is expensive. If I'd been happier with the leather, otherwise, I might have considered buying a second pair in the half size and trying to get a perfect fit for both feet. (If it hadn't worked, I would have returned both pairs, and if it had, I would have then donated the mismatched pair -- with an explanatory note -- to charity.)One more comment that might prove helpful is that I have an average heel width, but across the toes need a little more room, so often buy "C" width if the shoe has some give and that option is available, possibly "D" if there's no give at all, and buy "W" width otherwise. (That's also why I tend to buy slingbacks and open backed shoes and sandals). The buckle and strap on this shoe is adjustable, and on the last hole of the strap it fit very nicely in terms of width.
