VERY nice
Heaver blade & well balanced: have seen heaver blades. A heaver blade that isn't well balanced, would take A LOT more energy to use. VERY sharp & seams to hold an edge well. Handle is solid, easy to grip & absorbs the hits: the stop at the top & bottom, also keeps your fingers from sliding up & down. It has a hole, for a cord too. Sheath is a bit tight & that's the only bad thing: it has holes, for tiedowns too.

Great knife!
This modern take on a Kukri is amazing! Bought this to get into bushcrafting/survival and I love it. Strong, sharp blade! Cuts smoothly, chops with easy and feels good in the hand. Very well balanced and doesnt slip when your hands get sweaty. Been out chopping some trees lately and have had no issue (so far) with trees as large as 5 inches in diameter. Takes a baton like a champ and havent had to sharpen the blade in over a month.. definently holds a great edge! Excellent purchase and I will continue to purchase from CRKT!

Damn fine knife
Had it going on a year and not a daily user but have split logs, cut brush, trees and a couple pallets and blade is straight and other than nick from a nail it's doing great. My first kukri and it is a nice do-all size for camping and putting out game cameras etc.. Takes edge well and holds it as good as can be expected for the abuse it has taken. Do take care to clean and oil or at least remove moisture. Not quick to rust but it is not stainless steel.

Good blade for the money, but could be better
So, I have owned a CRKT Tomahawk for about 10 years now, and it's one of the most dependable backpacking/outdoor tools I've ever owned. When I started to look for a machete, I was pleased to find that CRKT made something that fit what I was looking for, and purchased this without a second thought. My disappointment comes in the quality of the grinds on the KUK. The grind on the spine is VERY asymmetric, and overall the blade feels rather flimsy in comparison to the construction of my Tomahawk. I don't know if it's a change in production standards, material, or design, but overall construction seems like it has room for improvement. I feel confident using force with my Tomahawk, but that is where the KUK falls short. It's a sharp blade, it feels strong, but it doesn't instill that confidence that I can power though some thick brush and not have it break. That being said, the knife performes fairly well. I spent a whole day using it to clear tall overgrown grass, brush, and thick thorn bushes (about a half inch to an inch diameter) and the edge heald up really well. No major deformation and a very minor roll. Cleaned right up with one swipe on a quick sharpener. I'd like to see how this holds up with use over time, and may provide an update to my review later. Pros: good weight and balance Good edge retention Comfortable grip Cons: Asymmetrical grinds on blade Feels somewhat fragile compared to other CRKT products

I truly like this knife
I admit I haven't cut much with it yet but it looks awesome and feels great in the hand. The knife has a very solid feel to it as does the scabbard. Both seem well made for the price point. Definitely came sharp and defect free.

CRKT Kukri
Bought this kukri a few weeks ago to polish off firewood of branches too small or unimportant for a chainsaw. I've used it moderately several times now, and this is what I've found: Pros: *The rubber handle is very nice. It provides a great grip, even with gloves. It is also very good at absorbing vibration where previous machetes I've used weren't. *The blade held an edge well, and hasn't bent or chipped. It is very stout, and I chose this kukri partially for that very reason. I wanted a thick (-er) blade that wouldn't up and bend on me. Cons: *The black coating over the blade is starting to rub off where I've done most of the chopping. Based upon what I've seen of other blades on this website chipping, bending, and sometimes breaking in half; if this is the worst that happens I'm happy. *The sheath is nice, but the belt attachment area could use a little work. You can still loop a belt through it, but it almost seems like they weren't really trying to make a belt loop, if that makes sense. Perhaps I'm just not doing something right. That being said, it still suits me just fine. *It's a little complicated to one-hand draw and sheath, but I'm working on it and it is somewhat doable after a fair bit of practice. Bottom Line: I shelled out a little more than I was intending to for this, but it was well worth it. Especially for moderate usage. Would purchase again.

That unusual gift for Christmas
I did a very cursory quality check on the blade. It looked clean and no issues. The blades are Christmas presents so they won’t really get checked out until after. Everybody needs a kukri knife!!!

Excellent blade
Quality is excellent! Blade is very sharp right out of the box. If you are not familiar with a kukuri, it takes a minute to get use to getting in/out of the sheath.

Love my new kukri. Just spent 2 weeks in Algonquin backcountry with it. Very well balanced. Sharp and durable - chops small and medium-sized branches with ease. Small-sized trees can be also chopped down if needed. It stays sharp after some hard work though require some fine sharpening. It's pretty big (as kukri should be). Sheath are very convenient to carry and get the kukri out. After 2 weeks of outdoor use some tiny pieces of black coating went away but that's what frequently happening. (Is it?)

The knife is surprisingly cheap for this good of quality. The edge has stayed sharp through a variety of tests. Handle is nice and gripy, and is a natural chopper. It is a bit shorter that I expected, but not too bad. The case is excellent quality, however it takes a bit of time to get the knife out, as it curves down and flares out towards the tip. The belt loop isn't the best, but the rest of the sheath is amazing. I recommend this product.
