Great value for the money and great quality. Very comfortable with or without shoes. Perfect for keeping feet while working in water. The sock thickness is perfect. The socks are washable and dries easily. I have not tried while swimming. However, from the description they can function in water.

I bought these socks in preparation for my Alaskan trip. I was surprised by how lightweight and effective they are. My feet stayed warm & dry even when I walked on the glacier and when I went whale watching in the rain. My feet were the only dry part of my body that day!

First, they kept my feet dry after a bunch of creek crossings. They also kept my feet warm at night. The only quibble is that the toe area is rather large and it because they are slightly stiff, there is a pooch on the top of the sock. But still size up if you're between sizes because if these were too small, they would be very uncomfortable.

With these socks on, tested submerging my foot for a few minutes in water. The sock was damp, but my foot was dry!
