Excellent option for insuring my father was able to prepare meals, while maintaining his independence. He greatly enjoyed these quick, easy meals that he could prepare for himself. Recommended for anyone who is looking for a delicious, hearty meal option.

The rice is a little hard and it’s quite salty.

I buy them when I can. The perfect quick meal. The price has gone up so I don't buy them in as many cases.

Always taste great! Easy to make for a quick eat! Worth the money!

This is super quick and easy. Put the provided plastic bowl for 1 minute in microwave; you don't even add water. The nearest alternative would be a can of soup, where you must provide the bowl. The Compleat is like soup with most of the liquid evaporated so you are left with thick gravy. Another benefit is that the Compleat is very light-weight, unlike having to stack heavy cans of soup. Taste is better than I expected. I would say it is like what you could expect going down the line of a cheap cafeteria and choosing the chicken and rice entre.

Hormel Rice and Chicken was something I will never buy again. It was basically rice and loads of sauce. The sauce overwhelmed everything else. It should hardly have the word “chicken “ in the name of the product since there were perhaps 4 tiny pieces of chicken in it, again, drowning in sauce. And saying there are peas and carrot in it, as the label says, is hardly descriptive. There were two very small cubes of carrots and two very small peas. What a waste of money.

All these Hormel Compleat dinners are delicious and much fresher tasting than any frozen dinners. But vegetables are scarce or absent from their recipes. I always add sliced, steamed carrots! And I think they would staste just fine if they woukd lower the salt and get the sodium levels down by about a third or so!
