My daughter was born 6 weeks premature and in the NICU, she was on anitbotics and when I brought her home I noticed how hard she struggled with stomach aches and constipation. I felt helpless and tried to many things. Including the Gas Drops (which help some at times) the colic tabs, the tummy wrap, ... I was trying it all. Some stuff seemed to help a little but not completely. Not until day #2 on this probotic. The second time after giving this to her, she slept so much more calmer and went to the bathroom easier. I can't wait for a week to pass by and for it to keep helping her. Today I got to hold her and have her just look up at me happy and not crying. I know people call it COLIC but I feel like the COLIC is because it's there way of telling us they're not feeling well. After reading books and searching endlessly for something to help soothe my baby, it just seems you have to find out if it's stomach aches, constipation, acid refulx? GERD? etc ... All I know is this stuff is AMAZING and a must have for babies especially getting antibotics since they loose good and bad bacteria. I mean how well do you feel when your stomach hurts and to think we're all grown, their poor bellies aren't.

I just can't brag enough about this product. My 10 month old daughter has had diarrhea since birth, and then after 3 rounds of antibiotics her gut was so torn up. She had the rankest diapers that would be up to her shoulders multiple times a day. They were the worst smelling. She has been on formula since 7 months and her stools never firmed up. We tried so many different things, including Culturelle for kids which didn't work. I was hopeful and bought this product and can't believe it. Her next day after the first dose she had a soft stool. Then the day after that she had her first formed turd! I was so proud of her! And she doesnt have a belly ache anymore, and also to note her DR. said to switch to soy formula. So we do 2/3 soy and 1/3 similac advance per bottle. This has also helped I believe, but most of it is from this great product. It solved her diarrhea issues and I feel like she is alot healthier. As an RN, I now recommend this to anyone with tummy problems!

My pediatrician recommended this product for our newborn to relieve colic symptoms. It took me forever to get it, so by the time I did she didn't have "colic" anymore. I started giving it to her when she was 3 months. I just dab a bit on my nipple before breastfeeding as the pediatrician recommended. It's not quite a fast-acting gas-reliever like mylicone drops, but I have found that if I give it to her once a day for a few days when she's extra gassy, it helps. The only down-side is that I think it gives her a bit of a diaper rash. We're still experimenting with when is the best time to use it, etc., but I would recommend this product to help prevent/relieve gas in infants.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------Update: My daughter recently had a lot of gas pain due to problems digesting oatmeal cereal. Her current pediatrician recommended us giving 1/2 tsp. of probiotics to her every day three times a day for about a week, and within 2 days she was SO much better! I just mixed it with some expressed breastmilk and put it in one of those medicine spoons for babies. She had about 3 bowel movements a day for a week and she felt so much better. I would definitely recommend this product!

Highly recommend used it for our premature daughter for tummy issues and now our grandson uses it and it’s fantastic!!

We have been using this for only 4 days now but I can already tell a difference in my LOs fussiness after eating. She is breastfed and after eating she always seemed to have tummy trouble. I cut out dairy products and along with using these probiotics it seemed to cool the colic. They werent shipped with an icepack and they do have to be refrigerated to keep them alive but probiotics only have to be refrigerated after the package has been opened so everything was fine. The price was great forthese kind of probiotics also. I will leave an updated review in a month or so of using these, but so far so good!

I purchased this product after reading many other reviews. Here is my story:My once very content newborn had to start a 10 day course of antibiotics at 12 days old. I noticed that when we were nearing the end of her treatment, she was becoming more and more fussy. The fussiness lasted for weeks. There were some days she cried the majority of the day and night. She was also having explosive, liquid stools. Her doctor didn't feel there was anything majorly wrong with her, so she was labeled as a colicky baby. My husband and I were at wits' end, because we wanted to help her so badly, but didn't know what to do. A Google search led me to this product on Amazon. I had been doing a lot of reading on gut health as well, and couldn't help but think my baby's discomfort was caused by a disruption in her gut flora from the antibiotics. I couldn't believe the testimonials I was reading of how probiotics completely relieved fussy/colicky babies. I followed other customer's suggestions, and dabbed some of the powder on my nipples once a day in the morning before breastfeeding.So.....(This is getting long, I know! Hear me out!)About 10 days after starting Jarrow Dophilus, we noticed a huge improvement in our baby girl's fussiness. She has continued to improve, and at three months old is like a new baby. Other family members wanted to know what I did to her that made her so much more content.Do I reccomend this product? Absolutely! It was a lifesaver for us, and words can't describe how grateful I am that my baby is no longer so uncomfortable. I wish I would have known to start her on probiotics when she was first prescribed antibiotics.

Product is wonderful when purchased from the coolers at the grocery store. This is an item that needs to be refrigerated and by the time it arrives on my doorstep, it's not only room temperature, but hot to the touch and the bacteria is no longer effective. What a waste.
