cuts sour dough bread well.
Sharp blades, cuts through sourdough bread and other homemade items. Easy to use, and quick as well. The 2 different set of blades are a nice option and the storing board is handy. The blades are easy to put in by pushing the top button and the cutter feels good in a petite hand.

The knife makes craving meat much easier for a person with painful carpal tunnel syndrome.
You angle against the grain of the meat and you get an excellent slice for dinner or just for a sandwich. I feel like it’s worth the money spent. The knife is easy to clean and store away. The size of the knife holder is very durable, and functionable. If visiting family, the kit had a great way to carry with you.

Definitely giftable so I did it for me :D good quality
As usual price goes down right after anything I buy these days on Amazon. On a pretty low pension this is getting tiresome. I don't comparison shop enough but need to so making it my summer resolution. Some UPDATE: The knife presents nicely but I am concerned about stabilty of blades. The wooden case is great and having 2 blades for my tasks is just what I wanted - for both bread and meats. I haven't done bread yet but I have done lunchmeats and some cheeses too, both cut fine for my needs with decent results after practicing. I wondered when I saw the storage if the knife itself (the motor) would be quality because as we all know each component costs, for packaging, most important really is the Motor. I can't answer for the motor- NOTE: the blades are a bit smaller than the prior electric knives I've had (one "borrowed" from my home never to return to me) The blades look good but do tend to flex more than I rem. my other knife sets of the past which again- were larger). I hope the motor holds up to my use which I do not intend to strain. My electric kitchen gadgets are used, loved, but not abused. What I can say is it looks great and it surprised me- NOTE: fits in my 25+ yr. old cabinetry drawers (shallower than I often see today) and I was quite pleased about that. It seems to stand up fairly stable too but NOTE: be careful where the black plastic stand part fits the slot of the wood as it can come loose from slot if moved around. Stable when standing- just a little warning from me that it CAN happen. No reason a person couldnt use decorative tape or even glue if you want it standing up permanently. I choose option depending on what is most convenience. I don't consider this knife a "cheap solution" for doing heavy slicing work and while I may use it often at times I won't be doing heavy duty work of large roasts etc. Get a meat slicer for for larger projects and save your wrist and arms. . . A thing of NOTE: I have petite hands wear XS gloves and have RA/ nerve damage as well. I think this will allow me to hold up to the tasks I need to do - and do it reasonably well with this NutriChef knife. I like it a lot. Pleasing looks, fits the smaller hand though the price seemed a little steep as I went above my budget. I now am really very pleased with my purchase. As long as you do not end up with a lemon I think you will find it as nice as I do for your self or to gift. I'll be back to tell if this turns out to be that lemon none of us wants :)

so far so good
Ive only used this knife for several hours using it only for 5 minutes at a time as recommended in the handbook. I had for years an electric knife, great, brand name when it gave out I bought another brand a few months ago. It was horrible. Didn't cut, totally useless. Waited and reading buyers comments on Amazon I decided to listen to them and bought this knife. I did have trouble getting the blades in, when I did I used it on a 10 lb beef roast and it cut thru that roast like it was butter, sooo strong, so easy what a delight. I never heard of this brand and if the buyers hadn't written their comments I wouldn't have bought it. No mistake in this knife. Surprisingly you get two pair, one for breads, the other for meat. Lucky for me, I bake and cook a lot of meat for my dogs food and rolls etc for my kids and me. I can't stress how sharp the blades are, which makes it so easy to cut meat, it cuts fast, and no pressure on my part. I don't have to press down, or use it like a saw. I hold the knife against the meat and it does the rest, slices fast and cuts down the entire piece of meat, top to bottom. I am so happy to have an excellent product!!! Now for birthdays and xmas my family should expect this knife for their present. Buyers who are shopping for an electric knife should relax if they decide to buy this knife, it works just perfectly thank you to this manufacturer for making an excellent product.ADDED COMMENT 2 WEEKS LATER: I've found out the reason the blades were hard to put in, I had it upside down. No fault of anyone but me. excellent product, love using it, makes my making dog food so easy and fast.

NutriChef PKELKN16 Electric Kitchen Knife
We have only used this knife once since receiving it in Jan 2025. All in all it is good; it cut as expected. I would say that it's overall design is just a bit smaller and cheaper feeling, not much, than our old Cuisinart electric knife. We are very satisfied. The manual does not say if the knife blades are dishwasher safe or not.
