This is a quality product and does the job that I intended it for most people use it for soundproofing in a car, but I put it underneath my cornhole boards to take away the thud and dead in the sound so I can play a little later at night. it does just that, just remember to use a roller to secure it tightly in the corners and center.

foam pad with a sticky backing, the foam is not a solid foam but still enough to hold its rigidity, i use it for sanding and need to keep it flat. So cut the sandpaper to your size stick it on the foam and the area of sanding isn't shaped like your hand or fingers. thats what i'm using it for

This item does help reducing noise. I used it to cover my entire window frame and definitely heard improvements. They do not work in all frequencies and some still find a way through. I am a sound engineer and used them to reduce street noise into my baby's bedroom. the adhesive made them really simple to install on the glass and window frame.

Clean the walls well and be careful...the adhesive is VERY good. Easy to use and the room is almost completely soundproofed. It's great. Be careful.

I bought this to add to the sound deadening underneath my new double kitchen sink. I cut and installed the whole roll and within hours it was pulling away from the underside of both sinks. I cleaned both sinks with mineral spirits and let it dry completely before I attached this black foam roll. They need to improve the sticky adhesive that they use. I had to use regular duck take to hold it down. The duck tape is the only reason it’s still installed. Without the duck tape it would fall off. Will not buy again.

The product do not block or diminish sound as advertised. If you need it for something else is good it has good material and sticks well .

I bought these to put on the back of my front door in my condo. There are only a few units in my building and most of my neighbors are single adults, so it’s pretty quiet most of the time. And inside the units you barely notice other people live in the same building.. the problem isn’t being bothered by others noises, it’s that the front doors are like an open window to the hallways and as soon as you open and walk in the very front door of our building, you can hear everything if anything is going on inside a units. The sounds travels crystal clear even if you have tv or music playing at a low volume. It broadcasts your words .. so any one in the hallway can hear every bit of your private conversations.. it’s So quite inside the units, it’s easy to forget how easy the noise travels through the hallway, until You’re in the hallway and the neighbor is home just existing and you hear every little sound to remind you. I bought these thinking it would be a great idea to cover my door completely with the pads to block some of the noises from going into the hallway…. Well the 2 rolls weren’t enough to cover the entire door. Had To order another role. Then not even a week later our dog ripped up the entire bottom Half of the padding off… we started putting a Baby gate to keep him away from the front door if we left. Ordered more roll. reapplied more padding…. It doesn’t keep any of the sound inside … I Went downstairs to get the mail And I could hear the tv. I left my phone playing a video and walked back in the hall, completely closed the door and had a door sweep installed… I hear it all. Perfectly.. it didn’t block any of the noise. Not one bit… This whole experiment was a complete waste of money and didn’t help fix my problem.. I wouldn’t buy any more of this for sound proofing purposes.

Really functional! I put them on the side of a loud mini fridge a couple months ago, and they seem to be holding strong except for the corner at the top, wanting to lift a little bit! It’s made a significant difference in the level of noise and I don’t worry about the heat of the side against the wall as much.
