SodaStream Mug Root Beer Drink Mix (440ml, Pack of 4)

Excellent flavor and I'm really glad they brought this into the lineup. Love root beer, and while I'm not the craziest about regular Mug, the zero sugar version is easily the best tasting zero sugar root beer I've had, and I've had a lot! With the soda stream it's definitely the best value of you want a good zero sugar root beer. This will be regularly stocked in my kitchen.

Soda Stream makes good soda at home, and this root beer flavor is very good. Enjoyable drink. No complaints.

Soda Stream syrup is excellent. This is diet root beer. My kids love it and so do I. No sugar, easy to use, and makes soda very economical

Taste:​Tastes just like Mug Root Beer, but it’s nice that you can adjust how strong you want the flavor to be. We also buy the Soda Stream’s version of diet Dr. Pepper, and it takes a little more syrup to get the right flavor with that one than it does with this one. In other words, be careful not to overdo it with the syrup because a little goes a long way here. It doesn’t have an artificial sweetener aftertaste (or its minimal at least) and tastes just as sweet as it should in my opinion. I definitely wish it was cheaper, though! My husband is going through them way too fast lol. This 4-pack is usually $18/$19, with the cheapest I’ve seen it being around $13. After buying the Soda Stream, the syrups, and the CO2, idk how much cheaper it really is than just buying the canned or bottled stuff. Just something to consider!​Also, I wish they’d make these flavors without added dyes because literally who cares about the color?Bottle leakage:Also, there have been 2 times now that they have arrived with leakage to the point that it’s made it to the exterior of the box, so Soda Stream needs to do a better job with sealing the bottles, and Amazon needs to be gentler with their products. If this happens to you, just contact Amazon customer service (the AI suffices in this case), and they should refund you for the cost of the syrup but won’t let you return it, so if you still think they’re safe to drink at that point, then you can enjoy it for free😉.

Very happy that it is basically the same as pre-canned MUG getting the carbonation is a little trickier than other ones but it tastes very good. I was also worried this would taste worse than the generic root beer flavor but it is actually better.

My husband is a huge root beer fan and I'm not. I thought I'd get this for him to try and he thinks it's fantastic. I even liked it.

I've never had zero calorie root beer before so I wasn't quite sure what to expect from this, but it was a new flavor so I figured it was worth trying. I loved root beer growing up so I was surprised how good this zero calorie version tasted. I really couldn't detect the sweetener taste in this like I can for other zero calorie sodas. This being a new flavor also means it comes with a premium price, unfortunately, so I'll stick with Pepsi Zero and Diet Dr. Pete for now since those are $5 to $10 cheaper and also taste great. Hopefully this price for Mug Zero goes down eventually, but if you're jonesing for some zero calorie root beer to make with your SodaStream then this is worth the premium.
