Goldwell Perm: Topform Biocurl 0 - Resistant

I have very fine hair but a lot of it . Only a perm will hold any style I or professional hair dressers have tried . No perm and any styling drops within minutes. Had to ask my daughter to section and roll hair , found it to difficult myself doing things backwards using mirror . I had experience in home perms , used to use “ pin-up “ when doing my mothers hair , back then the chemicals used were not so kind to hair but I knew how to section and curl the hair and the frizz would die down after a week or so and she was pleased with it . This time I did some research and followed instructions on box other than where it says to blot hair rolled in perm rods and remove as much moisture as possible (after applying perm lotion and leaving to process then rinse for no less than 5 invites ) I did blot them but also used hairdryer on cool setting to remove even more moisture . According to my research this technique is used by many professionals as it allows the neutraliser to be more effective. The finished look was the same as when I’ve had it done professionally though actually curlier at the back but this is because I had to use smaller perm rods due to the “right size” being out of stock everywhere. Oh and I have avoided wetting my hair at all for 5 days as whilst researching that was the advice for people who complain that their perm drops out after a few weeks . So washed it today , let it dry naturally for the most part but used hairdryer on cool setting just to finish off . Result is pretty impressive, it still looks healthy and shiny, and I am very happy with it and can definitely recommend this product .

Don’t be tempted to buy those ones you see in the shops, the ones with the women with perfect perms on, they’re useless and a waste of money. These are salón versions and will do the job properly. Just make sure to roller properly with help if possible and use the roller papers. Also use some type of plastic bag for some heat during the process. Recommended. (Used to work in a hairdressers)

Have used this perm for years. Definitely stick to using it as it works so well. Permed my sons stubborn to perm hair, when other perms failed.

Loved this perm, very good on resistant hair, great curls if you want them, also great as a body perm, depending on the size of rods used. Would definitely recommend.

my hair is thick shoulder length & hard to curl and this worked and a year later still have curls

I didn't realise there are different types of these product. I didn't use it properly. It works fast like bleach and relaxer on altered hair. Do not use on chemicals treated hair. It will break it fast.

So have been trying to perm adult sons hair but it is very resistant to normal perms, so purchased this, did the usual perm bit (doesn’t smell to bad either) and what can I say, his hair was curly I mean really curly like the perm ur nans used to get 😂😂 he was not overly impressed with curly ness, unlike me however who was very impressed at how well it worked, The perms grown on him now and he’s a bit happier, he did have to use conditioner a few times to try and relax it a little bit 😁, But hey you want a good perm this is definitely it 👍🏼
