Lancer Tactical Gen 2 Durable Airsoft Gun SD M4 Polymer- Full/Semi-Auto Piactinny Rail AEG Rifle with 0.20g BBS, Charger and Battery

I don't write reviews on Amazon--I don't have time for that, but this weapon is so good, it deserves 5 minutes to write about it. I'm in the military, and while I don't play Airsoft, after getting this M-4, I might have to take it up. Instead, I bought this for my wife to use on rattlesnakes in our yard, since she had trouble pumping a standard BB gun and was worried about putting a BB through a window. This weapon is awesome. I've fired M-16s, M-4s, M-9s, etc, and this one is both realistic and useful. Pros: + Powerful: easily puts 0.2g biodegradable airsoft BBs through multiple layers of cardboard. I think it would kill a snake at close range (although that was not necessarily the intent, just deterrence) + Accurate: I easily got tight groupings in 10-15mph gusts at 50' after changing out the standard sights to a red/green holographic sight + Reliable: I put about 200 BBs through it on the first time out without a misfire or other malfunction + Realistic: other than the safe/semi/auto selector on the discharge port being a static display only, most of the rest of the functions of this weapon mimic the real deal + High quality materials/built: the polymer and other materials are high quality with overall great fit and finish; everything is tight/no rattling or lose parts + Semi vs full auto: both modes easily put plenty of rounds down range and on target Misses: - Similar to other reviews, the front picatinny rail assembly was out of alignment with the rest of the rear one, making the front iron sight out of alignment and difficult to adjust to be accurate. This was easily remedied by removing the iron sights and installing a holographic sight, better for close quarters engagement anyway - Agree with the other reviewers on getting a dedicated smart charger and extra battery--the standard charger and battery are fine, but I prefer the Tenergy smart charger All in all, this is a great weapon. We'll see how long it lasts, but I'd buy again based on my initial impressions.

Great quality and construction. Shoots like an airsoft. Looks awesome. The only complaint and this goes for all of airsoft guns is the battery pack, the way it charges and the way you install them is old technology. Gotta be a better and easier way.

In the past, my 13 year old has gotten cheaper "play" airsoft guns. This time, we went for a gun that cost more than those others. This is a heavy duty gun. He has shot hundreds of holds in cans and cardboard boxes in the yard! It literally is heavy and feels real. He has had no problems charging it or keeping it going. So far, so good. Know that the included shooting target is tiny (think 8x10" or less), so don't get too excited about that one ;)

I purchased two of these guns for my kids as an inexpensive way into air-soft. The whole gun is plastic but i found the receivers to be durable. The gun shoots very good, BBs shot very far and straight, the tight barrel helps for sure. There are flimsy parts and those are the supplied rail and the receiver extension. The rail is the worst as it flexes all over the place. I recommend upgrading the rail and receiver extension. Otherwise it is a great gun!

I went through a lot of reviews before I selected this for my first AEG airsoft rifle. I have a lot of experience with firearms and shoot competitively, but I'm new to airsoft and wanted something serviceable but not a big investment. Well, the positive reviews of this rifle were spot on. It is well put together and feels solid in your hands. Once I worked out some issues that were almost entirely my own fault, it has run flawlessly and has done very well in my initial accuracy tests. Quad rail will accommodate all the accessories you want. I'm not crazy about the iron sights - I think they are too tall (height above bore thing) but they can be removed and it's an easy and inexpensive fix. They snap down anyway, and I immediately put a red dot sight on it so I'm not planning to use the irons unless my optic fails. Strongly recommend getting a smart charger - keep the charger that comes with it as a backup. I want to add that Lancer Tactical was very responsive when I needed help figuring things out.

I bought three of them and my kids love them.

Haven't checked what is inside, but outside assembly quality is good, weight is close to a real 9*19 short barrel rifle. Good FPS, smooth trigger. The accuracy is better than in previous cheap rifle with plastic gearbox. I like this gun.

Love this gun! Lancer Tactical Gen 2 is excellent value for your money, and besides that, it is simply very good starter/fairly steady player gun. Not to mention you can upgrade the internals as well. As far as accuracy (which is more important than just power) once you sight it in you can actually hit what your aiming for within a few hundred feet, and if you use it in bursts you can definitely keep someones head down from far away. It is a very solidly built gun made from some very tuff type of poly. Has about the same weight as the real thing so it feels good. All in all I have no complaints about this gun. It is an excellent product at an excellent price which performs very well for this price range. I have accumulated roughly 30 hours of play with this thing in the past 6 months. Highly recommend!
