Really Good "Throw Down" Bases
I bought these to use as "throw down" bases on one of the local practice fields that doesn't have any. The removable post make it so that these can be used anywhere without receivers and still get a "real" base feel. Consequently, the receivers for the bases on my home field were very tight and had a bad habit of seizing. The receivers that came with these bases were just a hair bigger and I replaced our old receivers with these. Now they don't seize up.

3 seasons later and still going strong
Once my players were old enough to wear metal cleats the old throw down bases looked like Swiss cheese after a single practice. I got these as a replacement and took the posts off so that I could throw them down on the dirt or grass where we were practicing. After three seasons of baseball they would still look brand new if I cleaned the grass stains off the top with some wet wipes. Absolutely no holes, tears, or other visible signs of damage despite being stepped on with metal cleats by +200lb men and being thrown around the field. These are bulky and heavy if you plan on transporting them to practices. A nice set of 1/2" thick throw downs is smaller in volume than 1 base and about the same weight. You will want to park close to the field or get a wagon to haul them around.Pros:-Real bases that look and behave like the ones on game day.-Tall enough to be seen on grass even if it hasn't been mowed in weeks.-Heavy enough that they don't slide around on grass or dirt when fielding or base running (except in rare cases where you'll be glad they did move because of a late slide).-Durable, Durable, Durable. No holes from metal spikes, No tears or bends from being thrown 20-30ft.Cons:-Bulky, they take up a lot more room than a good set of 1/2" thick throw downs.-Heavy, Adults can carry all three at the same time without too much trouble. Preteens can usually carry 1 with a batpack, and early teens can carry 1-2 and their batpack. Regardless, if you have to carry them more than a few hundred feet you'll wish you had a wagon sooner than later. Conclusion, I got these when they were $150 and hoped for the best. Knowing what I know now I would by them for around $200 in a split second. I know that's a lot of money for practice bases but the benefits for my team have been amazing. There are some cheaper alternatives that are designed as throw down bases instead of real bases like these. I have no experience with those, the reason I went with these is because of the metal cleats my players wear. At the time I knew the bases at the game field never got holes in them so real bases made sense. I'm glad I made that decision. The only draw back is the weight but it's practice so a little bit of weight lifting is probably a good thing.

Should have bought these sooner!
We have a kickball/softball/tee ball field behind our church. The old bases needed replacing. These are fantastic. The quality is great and they hold up very well in the weather. I highly recommend them.

Disappointed- missing pieces
The product came quickly but my only complaint and the reason for 3 stars is that the description said it would come with 3 steel anchors. But we were only given 1 in the box. Really disappointed because there’s also no way to contact the manufacturer to send us these missing pieces so the only choice we have would be to return the entire product and wait to receive a replacement which is such a hassle. We’re going to keep the product since we need to use it this week. But very disappointed that it didn’t come with all the pieces and we paid a good amount of money for this too.
