Brilliant!!
These are brilliant! This is my 2nd time using them, and both times they've worked. I used them last year when there was a huge rat living by the pond, sure enough the poison disappeared and so did the rat! After spotting another rat the other day I immediately purchased these again, after only 4 days the poison eat been nibbled at and I've not seen any more sightings of the rat. Slightly difficult to open till you get the hang of it, and the poison is kinda hard to open without touching it but it keeps it hidden and means the dogs and child can't get to it

Worked
The service was great- arrived quickly. Easy to set up. However, unfortunately they haven’t worked. The rats have looked at them, gone round them but not seen going in them. Checked at 7 days and not a nibble. Think I’ll be buying the proper traps. EDIT- checked at 12 days later, as have only seen 1 rat of 3, couple of days ago, poison has been nibbled at! Yay- let’s hope that’s it. So, patience I guess.

Easy to use, and effective.
I have a half-dozen of these in my, quite large garden A couple of tears ago I had a real problem wit rats, and one got into the house (apparantly, they walk in through an open door. It brought a few of it's friends to my garage as well. As my neighbour said: "you can gey rid of them inside, but they are still outside" Putting the boxes alongside fences and walls on the boundaries orinall left me with a couple of dead ones (double bag and bin). No sign of one for a long time, but the bait is still being taken ....

Good quality
Handle these with gloves straight away as they are pre loaded with poison and some had come out of the bait box, you should wear gloves anyway as this prevents your scent getting on the bait boxes which can deter rats from going near them. Have got a few around the garden and they are solid with a good lock on the lid to prevent tampering. Easy to re bait, just thread onto a metal spine inside the bait box, will be checking them every couple of weeks to see if the bait is going and if not re position.

On a mission after finding a wire had been chewed.
Easy to set up, the little blighters have been nibbling away. The box has a key which is good for safety. It holds 3 blocks comfortably I set it up and placed it up against a wall. The vermin like to stay close to walls etc seems to be working fine. Cheaper than having my car rewired. I don’t know what bright spark thought of using ECO friendly soya insulation coating in car wiring looms?

Possibly not for rats, poison pieces loose in box.
I’m glad I thought to open the box in a safe area outside while wearing a mask and gloves. There were loose bits of poison in the box, though it was packaged within a larger box so might prevent bits from getting in your house. I bought another brand as well, and these are much smaller in comparison, so I’m unsure if these will be suited for rats, as advertised. Will see. This being said, the boxes seem very sturdy and though they will last multiple seasons. I like they are pre-baited and just need to be set out.

RATS ARE SMART
During the first lockdown I set up a more elaborate bird feeding centre (originally just a window feeder) partly through boredom as we were all stuck at home, the birds are entertaining. Set it up along a hedge opposite a window so we could be entertained and bring more nature to us. I didn't forsee that would include RATS! We're two fields away from horse stables, hedgerows and some scrubland link our garden to the stables so I guess they've made rat runs from there since discovering the bird food. First time we saw anything was in broad daylight and noticed movement in the hawthorne hedge, didn't know rats could climb trees and run along thin branches! They were looking at ways to get onto the feeders. Then found a big rat on one of the bird feeders (it's one of these based on a slim metal pole you stick into the ground). Amazed that they'd been able to shimmy up a shiny painted tube. Watched them and they do it with ease. Some grease smeared all up the pole stopped that. After getting over the initial shock of seeing a rat I thought well, what harm are they doing, I'm a nature lover and they're only part of nature so I thought I'd leave them to it if they were just going to feed off the seeds that fell to the ground. But then we saw another and another and after a few months some baby rats, a whole family of rats! We started to worry about our neighbours and their reaction if they saw our garden full of rats or the rats were to go into theirs. I then started finding evidence they were digging and burrowing at the foundations of the house and neighbours fence. They were also putting off the birds when they were near the feeders. Enough was enough. I bought two Roshield rat trap boxes through Amazon and caught nothing, a few weeks later I tried the Roshield bait boxes and again nothing, just more rats! I put a wildlife camera near the entrance to these boxes to find out what was going on and mice were frequently going inside to eat the seed and bait (little teeth marks in the bait, not rat teeth) but the rats just investigated from the outside sniffing around but they could obviously smell a rat! They never went inside the boxes. I also tried the Roshield bait spray and the boxes were outside for months so the new plastic smell would have gone. I also tried a roller fitted to the top of a 25 ltr bucket of water but only caught mice that way. Rats are too smart, not wary, they'll happily come out in broad daylight if it's quiet. So I spent a lot of money and bought an air rifle, now all the rats are gone...... for now.
