Great Product
The mount attached to my helmet very easily and even supports the J arm that came separately very sturdy and holds up to rugged terrain very well

Does not fit USGI PVS-14 J-ARM
Foolishly bought this on a whim as a budget solution until I had the cash for a wilcox mount or something similar. The mount fits very loose on mt Hard Head Veterans hepmet shroud. The interface to connect a pvs-14 was out of spec and I couldn't get it to lock in even after loosening the screws and filing it down. If you are looking for a affordable mounting solution for real night vision I'd suggest getting something surplus. This is airsoft stuff.

Secure but hard to install
The product was a bit difficult to install. It did not snap in easily and took a good amount of effort to place. However, once it was in, it was very secure. It is holding very well. I do not think I will be able to remove it easily.

not the real Mc Coy needs modification to work properly
The media could not be loaded. needs modification to work properly, not the real Mc CoyI had to add some gorilla tape to the sides of this in order for it not to wiggle around in the helmet mount along with some foam behind itwhen it wiggles from side to side the NVG moves around and is unusablealso tighten down this small allen head bolt as shown in my video, it also helps to eliminate any play

Attention people get what you pay for!
Price is right! I did have to put thread lock compound on all screws, I also got this for an old gen 2 system I own, & I knew I would have to modify it to fit! So, I found the least expensive I could find, incase my modifications ruined it. It's Made of Metal, it locks with some tension in the Up position, & adjustments work. Fits the Helmet Shroud, only slightly loose. The bungies take that out!

Impressively out of spec
You get what you pay for. That's what they say.Staring analog night vision as a hobby- you're looking for an easy entry point. Well. Here, you could have one. But you could also have a huge headache, too.I, for one, despite numerous shims and and over an hour of trying to get it working am quite aware that at the very least /MY/ order will be a big waste. I can't hardly see through my monocular simply for the reason that this mount refuses to let my NVD actually align with my eye.Biggest issues: This thing absolutely does NOT want to stay in place. I've shimmed it to all hell and overtightened screws until I was sure my alley key was going to snap- all to no avail. There's not a single screw in this product that doesn't have some degree of wobble and you can only do so much to help it.Wobble- sure, that's fine, you may think. One or two screws. Well, this product has about five different locations for play. The mounting bracket itself- out of spec, as mentioned. Mine didn't fit in my helmet at all, INCREDIBLY loose.Top swivel point- Can't be locked down, will bounce about 1-2mm. Empty space at the bottom- why?Bottom swivel point- infinitely loose screw. I'd loctite it, but I really don't think it's incredibly worth it. This point functions as both an adjustment point... AND tightening mechanism. What the hell?Eye relief adjustment- Wow... You can't tell, but i'm pinching my fingers together really close. That's how small the tooth is that hooks into the notches that holds it in place. Spoiler alert: this barely works at all, too. This is one of two places you actually /can/ shim, but it'll still be subparArm mount- You can shim this one too! Good thing because it comes impressively loose.Listen. I know- don't go cheap with your expensive products. Don't rely on a twenty dollar mount for your thousand dollar device-But just because something that can be attached to it can be expensive- why does this have to be built with five dollar quality? It's nearly unusable. I'll just be 3d printing a mounting solution that will hold five times more efficiently than this /and/ be well in specification.
