I adore the Oxford Handbook and as a hospital doctor, I have purchased many of their publications that are pocket guides and extremely useful in the daily clinical practice with updated guidelines and drug doses. The specific, OHCM, is an amazing pocket medical handbook that is one of the best and I strongly suggest it to all doctors, irrespectively their medical specialty, as it offers updated general clinical information that I think that ALL doctors need. For example, I am working at the hematology dept. until summer, but I always see the patients holistically (as a whole) and examine not just the blood system, but I always correlate signs, symptoms, lab & image tests generally to all systems of the body, e.g. an anemia may be caused by an MDS or an iron deficiency because of bowel cancer; a low WCC may be related to immunodeficiency; low platelets may be related to SLE or RA; a skin lesion may indicate a T cell lymphoma etc; an increased ESR may indicate solid cancer or multiple myeloma etc.

Nice Go To Treatment Guide
Very handy go to book. Gives brief explanations for a wide range of medical conditions. This is however NOT a book that you should rely on solely. It doesn't give thorough pathogenesis of diseases. But is an excellent guide to treatment options.

Awesome quick resource
Purchased a few years back and decided to write a review. Awesome quick resource, but should not replace comprehensive reading of a topic. Great for review!

A very professionally made book for every medical doctor
This book was an extraordinary help while teaching young Lao doctors a couple of weeks ago, and it would have made my work as a family doctor easier also in my home country which is Switzerland.

A perfect book
Its a very valued book specifically for students and those make themselves ready for a test. Take care of the size of the writing. It's too small

A beautiful conscise and elegantly written handbook of medicine useful in clinical practice
Oxford had always been the pinnacle of short, concise and readable materials for a quick lookover and revision. The handbook of clinical medicine is another masterpiece from oxford which shortly put summarizes medicine into an easily readable and quite fun subject. All the important points are succinctly put and easily revisable. A recommeneded book for those attempting exams and for practitioners for a quick revision

Fun little reference.
This is a superb lab-coat pocket reference. The thoughtful layout makes it more fun to read than my UpToDate when I have downtime. I wish there was a Canadian version of this, but the English sense of humour is part of the charm.
