Rendezvous

a beautiful quiet cd that at first is very unassuming but after repeated listenings is exquisite. can't believe they have never released it in the us.

Love Christopher Cross!

You know what it is like. You have been trying to get hold of a Christopher Cross CD for years and you finally get it and the music is as great as you expect. Why this CD wasn't as big as his previous ones - who knows but I think it is great

Christopher Cross has made a lot of excellent music over his career. In fact, I think his first album, which won him all those awards, is one of his weakest. Doesn't mean it's awful -- of course it isn't -- but other releases like WINDOW, BACK OF MY MIND, ANOTHER PAGE, and WALKING IN AVALON get a lot more play at my home. But none of them get as many spins as RENDEZVOUS. It's a very consistent work from beginning to end, and if you're any kind of CC fan, make sure this is the one release that's in your collection. You won't be sorry. Highlights include... well, every song on the album. Too bad such a fabulous work never got a domestic release at the time. Major mistake on somebody's part!

This is perhaps Chris' best work. It came after a period of intense personal upheaval for the artist, and one can easily feel the emotion and vigor that he put into these songs. Songs like "Is There Something", "Isn't It Love", "Rendezvous", and "A Fisherman's Tale" are songs that are felt as well as heard.Rendezvous is one of Cross' long out-of-print CDs, and it is quite hard to find these anywhere.

Excellent, clearly one of Christopher's best efforts. Superbly crafted lyrics and captivating tunes. Too bad this album has remained quite obscure.

惜しむらくはbook裏表のｼﾐです。廃盤で入手困難なことを思えばこの価格は妥協点。Jeff Porcaroのplayは2曲。彼を「The Man with the Golden Groove」と評した、Christopher Crossの貴重な名盤。Michael Mcdonaldのback vocalとJody CortezのplayするNight across the Worldは印象的で耳に残ります

”南からきた男”　以来のファンであります。当初、このＣＤを所持しておらず、レンタル店で借りて聴いていましたが、忘れられずアマゾンで検索して中古を手に入れることができました。彼のアルバムの中では、あまり人気がないようですが、頭から通しで聴いてみてください。楽曲間の繋がりもよく、じわーと心に残りますよ。隠れた名盤ではないかと思っております。
