I love everything about this shelf. It was easy to assemble, and is very sturdy. I have it quite loaded down. 😊

I needed bookshelves for my home library. I wanted something with a ladder on wheels, but they were THOUSANDS of dollars. I also couldn’t find any cheap bookshelves for less than $80. I’ve used these types of shelves in my basement in the past and they are sturdy.The Amazon shelves have a locking mechanism, where my older shelves just had a metal four out the shelf support slips into. These are much safer. HOWEVER, the metal on the top and bottom is sharp. You get caps to put on so do that first! The only hard part was connecting the top and bottom legs with the middle shelf.It would be easier to set up with a second person. But not required. I had help for three of the four I put together. It took about 30 minutes to open the box, put the shelves together, move them, and cut up the four boxes.

Normally, I view Amazon Basics as a hold your nose and hope product because it has a good chance to be suboptimal. These shelves are not that way at all; they are very very good. Machining is precise, all the items fit exactly as they should. Assembled easily. Light weight to move around. The shelve boards are okay, and not warped. No odd odor.I recommend a rubber mallet for assembly.Very pleased so I purchased a second one…. And it was just like the 1st

Very sturdy garage shelf. Like other reviewers said. It feels like it would be flimsy but once assembled, it’s very solid. Excellent garage shelf. I wish I had room for another. I would try to assemble it near where you are going to put it. Makes it way easier. If not. You can move the frame easily without the boards on the shelf. Just don’t pull up on the horizontal shelf bars or they may pop out. Not a big deal at all. Really helped organize my garage. Like another reviewer said, the shelf boards are unfinished. Painting them will prolong their life for sure.

Decent shelving- very pleased with outcome. Particle press board so uncertain how heavy items on shelves can be, but sturdy for now. Also comes with stabilizer to attach to wall - did not use yet but seems useful. Overall fairly easy to put together - did it by myself but and extra hand could have been helpful!

I paid $101.35 and, although it has no rollers, it's worth it: after researching several other shelving units (mostly with rollers), it seemed to me that this is the best choice for quality, size, and durability, even though the instructions could have been somewhat better and the other units were lower in price.For those who have never put together one of these units, it takes just a few minutes to "get" the assembly instructions. You'll need a rubber or a wooden mallet or something similar -- DO NOT use a metal hammer. 15 minutes should be enough time to put it together, once you get the hang of it. Much easier with two people.If you have not assembled the unit where it's going to be placed, it will be easier (for one person) to move if you take out the pressboard shelves; the unit isn't very heavy, but it can be unwieldy. Two people should be able to easily move it with shelves in. NOTE: The rubber tops come out easily; you might want to put them on once the unit is in place.Quality seems very good; it has plenty of room (partly because of the smart engineering of the unit); strength seems good.Shortly, I'll be ordering another one of these -- perhaps two -- for my storage room and garage.I recommend this shelving unit. (Load it from the bottom - up, keeping heaviest things on the lower shelves.)It's a good buy.

This shelf was a great solution for my needs in my storage unit. It offers plenty of space with adjustable shelves. No tools were needed to get it together, but they do recommend a rubber mallet which would have made it a little easier. It has a bit of heft to it, but it's easy enough to move around with out much difficulty. Could be accomplished solo, but having two sets of hands will make it significantly easier, both in assembly and moving it. All in all a great buy.
