Simple, easy to use, and works great!
I’m really loving this little Arlo camera! The image is super clear, even at night, and the audio works perfectly (great for talking to people at home, or yelling at the dog, haha). Setup was super easy, had it up and running in just a few minutes. I also like the automatic privacy cover that closes when the camera is off, such a cool and useful feature. Just a heads-up: some features require a subscription after the free trial, but the basic stuff still works fine. Totally worth it for the price!

Perfect!
I bought the Arlo Video Doorbell 2K (2nd generation) after a lot of research, and I can say that the choice was definitely worth it. The 2K image quality is excellent, with impressive clarity both during the day and at night. The night vision is surprisingly clear, and the wider field of view really makes a difference — I can see the person at the door from head to toe. The installation was easier than I expected. Another positive point is the response time: notifications come in almost in real time, and the two-way audio has good quality, which makes communication with delivery people much easier. Overall, it’s an excellent and durable product. Definitely worth it!

Does its job
I have multiple Arlo cameras around all sides of my house. I decided to get this indoor camera since there is one room that is not covered by my other cameras. This camera does work as expected and connecting it to my existing Arlo system is easy. The only thing I wish it can improve is to make the base a bit heavier. As it is, the camera looks like it can tip over if it is adjusted to a down angle view. This is a minor detail and does not prevent the camera from working.

One of the best value cameras around.
I bought several different security cameras in hopes that they would work with my Google Nest Hub and Google Home app. Despite many cameras saying they would, I found they all had comprises, and didn't all work as promised. Arlo was a little difficult to set up, as I had trouble linking my Arlo account to my Google Home account (I had to do some finagling, as the authenticator built into the app was not working, so I had to log in in another phone, but after that it was smooth sailing). If you don't care about Google Home, the setup on wifi was quick and easy with the app, and the arlo app itself was easy to view video and change settings in. I got a few HD/2k/4k cameras, and while the 2k camera is markedly clearer, I can still see things fine during the day and night, and the motion and object detection always identifies things correctly. You can record using the cloud, or locally, which is nice, since I wasn't looking at any subscription services. Overall, it was the best or the cameras I've bought, but you can also consider Wyze's line of cameras as it worked well with Google Home as well, but didn't have the same issues when trying to link my Wyze account. My only other thought it you can audibly hear the night vision 'click' on when you turn on/off a light. If you value the built in security cover, I suppose it's a fair trade-off.

Easy to use!
Love this camera! I use it to keep an eye on my dog while I’m at work. The camera quality is great. I set it to get a notification on motion detection or sound detection. It’s very easy to use and you can connect multiple cameras to one account!

Great for Kid Room!
I recently use Arlo webcam for outdoor, and I need for my kid room, so I got the Arlo Essential Security Camera HD | Indoor Only | 2nd Gen — and it’s been a great choice. The night vision is super clear, which is exactly what I needed for nighttime check-ins without disturbing my baby. Even in total darkness, I can see everything clearly from the app. And the 2-way audio is such a helpful feature — I can talk to my little one or even soothe her without going into the room. It works instantly and the sound quality is really clear. The setup was simple, and I love the automated privacy shield that activates when I’m home and don’t need monitoring. It also sends me motion alerts and notifications that are quick and accurate. Since it’s wired, there’s no battery to worry about either. Definitely a solid choice if you’re looking for a baby monitor, pet cam, or just a reliable indoor security cam!

Nightmare to set up. Do not recommend.
The camera works fine when it's set up but it's an absolute nightmare to actually get it working. Even worse if you want to share access like my wife and I wanted to do. I hated every second of the process. Nothing worked as it should, and when we needed to get a new camera because our old one was damaged, it was a whole new nightmare involving customer support and endless attempts to connect the stupid thing.

Camera is supplied with a EU 2 pin plug only which is no use to me as I require a 3 pin uk plug.

I was disappointed with the Arlo camera on multiple levels. The first was the instruction "guide" that came with the camera, a small slip of paper that informed you to download the Arlo app... which is called? So I searched the Apple Store and found one, assuming it must be the correct one even thought it was not simply called "Arlo". After installing the app I proceeded to setup an account and pair to my camera. In the app I found it under Essentials, cord-powered, and I spotted it. Only it stated "3rd Gen". My model was "2nd Gen". There was no option for "2nd Gen", so I selected "3rd Gen" and was advised to press the Bluetooth pairing button on the top of the camera... my button was on the bottom. Oh wait, below the Continue button is a helpful button stating "On Bottom". That's mine! So I pressed it... and was ejected back to the previous selection screen. No matter what option I tried, nothing worked. Then I noticed it mentioned the camera supported Alexa. I have Alexa! I'm saved! So I accessed the Alexa app on my phone, enabled the Arlo skill, connected to my Arlo account, and attempted to pair with the camera (making sure to press the button on the bottom until it started flashing). I waited. Waited. Alexa informed me it could not locate any new devices. In short, this was a complete was of money. I will be sending it back and will search for a device that is supported by the company that makes said device, unlike Arlo.
