Apple Mac Pro Security Lock Adapter

There are not many locks out there for the Mac Pro, and given the design it is quite easy to steal actually. I did some research and found this adapter. I think it is definitely a bit pricy, but in the end it does works.It doesn't come with a cord which you will have to buy separately, and YOU definitely NEED a cord. Why they include that is just beyond me..... So crazy!!! I did some research and bought the Kensington lock here at Amazon, and it works FANTASTIC with this adapter. At first I didn't understand how the lock and key worked on the adapter itself, but you must put the lock nside the adapter after you put the adapter onto the computer, and that requires putting the computer on its side... yes, its round and has no side, so you have to hold it a bit awkwardly.... and then turn the lock in a specific way to lock it. I did a test run NOT on the computer and then had a friend hold the computer while I locked it.I will continue to look for more upgraded locks for my computer as they are developed, but for now this works. See photo below for how I hooked it up. I wrapped the Kensington Cord around the wall mounts for my monitors, and Voila!

Work safely.It's also very light.

It does what it's supposed to. Feels very secure and works with any Kensington lock. It'll probably take you 10 minutes to figure out how to seat the darn thing but when you do your Mac Pro is ready to leave in the office overnight.

This solves a security problem for me, and does it well. The bracket matches the shape of the Mac Pro, and ties a very expensive computer to the table effectively.The idea is to slow a burglar down. This does the job effectively.

I cannot fault the product for it being overpriced, it does what it is advertised to do. So I am not removing stars, but come on Apple! This is ludicrous, even for you.
