Q: Do you need a liner with this curtain?

I just received mine yesterday. The fabric is opaque, it is not too thin, and you do not need a liner. It says on the packaging that "A liner is recommended." But it certainly isn't required. It's probably only recommended because the same company sells liners, too! I have been using a polyester curtain similar to this one for years. The shower hits it, the water runs down into the tub.

Q: Repainting bathroom ~ ideas on wall colors that work with this shower curtain? Just want to gather more input than my own - thank u!

I painted my walls the blue that is in the curtain. I accented with some of the other colors...yellow towels, orange scatter rug. It looks really great.

This is a matter of personal taste I think. Sometimes the pattern is so beautiful that it looks great no matter what it's made of. This particular shower curtain is a better quality polyester compared to some out there, but still it is polyester so...Here are some pros and cons regarding polyester vs. fabric shower curtains from my personal experience: Advantages of Polyester: easy to wash, no ironing needed, doesn't fade, dries quickly, very durableDisadvantages: can look cheap depending on the pattern, quality of the polyester weave, and context in which it is placed.Advantages of cotton fabric shower curtain: Can look more luxurious depending on the quality of the fabricDisadvantages: Usually requires ironing, can fade faster from washing, can look cheap if poor quality cotton is used You can always try a cotton/polyester blend which will incorporate the features of both types of fabric.

Q: Color Questions: Is the background pure white or more of an ivory? Are the dark swirls in the pattern dark blue or black?

The background is pure white. As for the swirls, I couldn't decide, so I went with dark blue. I got a dark blue trash can. It's either midnight blue or black. Hope this helps.
