Emergency food.
Ordered these as an emergency food source and so far haven't needed them which is a good thing but the thought of not going hungry in an emergency situation is very comforting.

I'm buying more
A VERY GOOD instant coffee. I normally drink Life boost , grind my beans and use an auto drip w/paper filter. I'm sure I will find this instant coffee something to relish in a disaster. I'm finishing up the trial cup while typing this reveiw. That says something. I like it better than any other instant I've tried. I'm buying 2 more buckets. Will I stop making fresh ground? NO! But this will be a huge relief when/if needed.

Wise Food 84servings
Well I ordered my bucket through amazon so that i would not have any trouble with sellers and return shipping if need be.. (Amazon Prime Free Shipping..) I also have emailed with people at Wise FOods actual Company and they have talked to me about their food and Also Sent me a 4serv Sample for my family to try. When we made the packet we were kind of surprised at the food and how much it made. I have eaten many MRE's for weeks at a time and when I tried the Wise Food sample I was very surprised at how it tasted, way better than some of th MRE's I have eaten in the past. I cannot speak for all of their food but the packet I had was not too bad, it tasted kind of like cup of noodles. As far as the taste, it was not horrible, it was better than some MRE's I have tried, but if you are comparing it to food that we have now of course you would not want to eat the food instead of what we think of as our "normal food". So when people say wow this food is horrible, it is not far to compare this to the food that we have available to us now, you have to have a mindset of wow if I had Absolutely Nothing to eat if there was an emergency or even the end of the world haha, then would you want to starve to death? or would you want to try and eat scraps of whatever you could find? NO, You WOuld Be Very Happy to have this long term survival food that you would be able to eat and survive on!! If you would have to eat this food in a survival situation you would be very happy with how the food tastes then, You Would Be Happy to have a Hot Meal and you would NOT be B*******, at how bad this tastes, if you had no other food it would taste amazing. So when you judge the taste of the food you should judge it as if you had absolutely nothing else to eat, and at a shelf life of up to 25 years, this is a much better option than buying other canned goods that you have to rotate every couple of years...When I recieved my bucket, (I ordered one 84 serv bucket) I was Very Surprised at how small the bucket actually is! I am kind of mad that I read that some of the servings inside the bucket are actually 4 serv bags, but even that is not all that bad because it will not go bad in a day or how every long it takes yo uto eat it, so thats not that big of a deal, but verall I am happy with this purchase and I will be buying more, I am happy with the amazing customer service I recieved from the actual company Wise, they emailed me told me to ask them if I had any questions, and they had a 4serving bag sent out within a week for my family to sample. This type of emergency food storage is an awesome idea to have in case of any emergency, and at 25yrs of shelf life, you cant get any better than that!!!

Not returnable! Check the packs right away!!
I read many reviewers mention that some of the packs had holes, so I was sure to check my bags immediately upon delivery. The delivery box was fine, and the bucket itself was fine. No damage at all.Inside my gluten free box were all gold plastic packs. The packs are all multiple servings, 6 or 8 servings. As I pulled out the packs, I noticed several had some powder on them, and the bucket did have some orangey powder on the inside as well. The orange powder smelled like ramen flavor pack.Examining the packs, I found that the teriyaki rice packs all looked like they had small punctures, and one had a definite tear , about 1/4 inch. I guess this recipe has some really sharp pointy ingredients that can puncture the bags when they vacuum seal it.The tortilla soup bags had some pokes. The yogurt bags were fine and the potato chicken pot pie bags were fine.My gluten free box has no meat in the recipes, so I guess I can just put the questionable bags in a vacuum seal bag for extra protection since they are supposed to be freeze dried. They should keep ok (I hope!), but not for 25 years. You cannot return the food!!! And I was not able to find a contact phone number or email for the company. If you have issues with your box, contact Amazon customer service directly so they can help you.Another thing about the instructions included for reconstituting the food. The multiple serving bags of meals say to use 6 cups of water for the whole bag (which is 6 servings), but for the yogurt, it only says to add 1 cup of water for whole bag of 8 servings?? I guess I'll only know when I try eating it...I don't know why the company doesn't read these reviews and respond to the repeated complaints of torn bags inside the buckets. They need to come up with a better way to keep these ingredients sealed to last for 25 years as they claim.I purchased in September 2024, and all the components of my box were labeled as April 2024.
