Q: I was gifted a lovely board but would prefer it sat flat on my breakfast bar. Are the "feet" screwed in or glued on?

Mine has two pieces of wood that run underneath on the two short sides. They appear to be glued on. It's a really beautiful board. I'm sure you'll love it.

Q: Can it be used as a cutting board?

Certainly it could. But........it would break my heart if you did. This thing Is beautiful, and to mar it up using it as a cutting board IMHO would detract from the beauty. Even though I use it just as a charcuterie board, I still sand it and oil it after every use. It doesn’t sit flat on a countertop. It is raised up by two slat like legs the run the width of the board, perpendicular the the long, straight edge. If what you wanted to cut on it was not centered, it could tip the board.

Q: Can I make flour on this board? Wood is not spliced and not oiled and waxed? Is it safe?

I don’t know. I primarily use my board for serving appetizers. I do use mineral oil specifically for this board.

Q: What is your (seller) response to David Wyson’s review about the filler?

So glad you asked. Amazon seems to be not letting sellers respond to reviews any more! Most live edge boards come with wormholes etc. imperfections. Filling them with wood filler is standard practice when working with live edge products and actually adds to the personality of the board. Also, only food-grade wood filler is used, after which the filling is carefully rendered smooth and tight. Anyway, the rating on our product is pretty unanimously 5-star. This particular comment about our board seemed to have been offered without knowledge about live-edge products and even before he got to use the present his kind girlfriend gifted to him :)
