I don't know that it is any different. To me it tastes fresher.

A good amount for sure. The caffeine content of any coffee ultimately depends on the roast. The darker the roast the more caffeine is destroyed during the roasting process and the less caffeine remains in the bean. (That’s actually what gives darker roasts their bitterness.) Anywho, this coffee is labeled as a medium roast and, unlike Starbucks who burns even their light roast, these guys got the roast pretty spot on which means A) a sweeter, more rounded cup and B) a higher caffeine content in your brew.

Q: Are the beans actually grown and roasted in the Blue Mountains in Jamaica?

Nope, these are roasted stateside,. They are a mixture of Caribbean, south and central American arabica beans per the bag without specification of where in the places. I love real blue mountain coffee , this is just a great blend & also a hell of a lot cheaper.

Q: What is the estimated % of actual Jamaican Blue Mountain bean in this "blend?"

There is no way that this coffee is 100% Blue Mountain coffee. True 100% Blue Mountain coffee sells for more than $60 a pound. This is just a blend, regardless of how "tasty" it is.
