The motion detection feature works well—it starts recording right when there’s movement and saves battery life when idle. I also love that the setup was simple and the app works smoothly with real-time viewing. The battery lasts longer than I thought for such a tiny device, and it even supports loop recording with a microSD card. Great value for the price, and very discreet. Great little gadget, but there are areas of improvement. The item was shipped fast and is easy to set up. The camera is very discreet and cordless, which is ideal if you prefer it not to be seen. Video quality is mediocre but reasonable for the price. The video quality is very dependent on lighting. It does great in very well-lit areas but is poor in semi-dark rooms. The audio is great. Overall, good to have, but it requires ideal lighting conditions, and the video quality is reasonable at the price.

Camera doesn’t record at all. The instructions say that when you turn it on to either motion-detection or constant-record, the light will flash red 3 times. Mine doesn’t do that. In both settings, it flashes blue/red (purple) 5 times and it never saves videos at all. I already tossed the packaging, so I guess I’m stuck with it. I don’t recommend this product.

Reviewing after one week of use - the unit works well for it's price point, as long as you understand the limitations of the device you will be happy with the purchase. Video and audio quality is good, although the camera angle in the unit I received is a bit tilted, this doesn't affect it's use. This is best used in a well lit area where you don't require an extremely wide FOV, it's perfect for a hallway or monitoring a doorway. I live with roommates and unfortunately our landlord does not allow us to change out any fixtures so there's no lock on my door... caught one of them snooping around my room while I was out of the house already. It's nice that it just looks like a usb drive, and you can leave it plugged in and charging while it records (I was using the motion detection setting). The one minor hiccup I had was I needed to format the SD card before it would work properly, this takes <30 seconds to do and there's an sd card to USB adapter included so this wasn't really a problem, just a word of advice if your unit isn't working right out of the box. Unit does not work well in low light conditions by itself, you would need an IR light source for this. If you are looking for nightvision / low light, I would opt for a more expensive version which has IR LEDs built into the device. This wasn't really a problem for my use case, but worth mentioning.

Rather impressed. Definitely discreet. It’s almost better if you are trying to be secretive about it for whatever reason to just leave the usb side uncapped and lay it right on the counter as it really is that inconspicuous if someone isn’t suspicious already and looking for it. Little bit of feed back on the audio which is generally expected so really no complaints about that. Image quality is actually really good, however it is very much dependent on the amount of light provided. But it comes with plenty of recording time and an extra thumb drive to transfer files to if you fill yours up. Both motion detection and constant loop record work perfect. It’s small enough to pass off as a normal thumb drive/roku which is great for all that it’s able to do.
