Under $80 Juggernaut (3 speaker battle)
was having a hard time choosing between this, and Oontz angle 3 Pro, and a Doss Soundbox Pro. Im looking for something primarily for the house to be used in a bedroom/office. EVERY SINGLE ONE WAS A WINNER and I wouldnt hesitate to choose any of the 3. Sound quality was very very....VERY comparable with each one and pretty much a wash (explained below). I dont like letting my batteries drain so I cant vouch for battery life on each one, but im not worried. Below is why I would choose each model, hopefully it helps you. Also if it matters, I listened to Radiohead-The National Anthem and Skrillex-Rumble to test the speakers. --Why I chose the Doss Soundbox Pro: I hate to admit it but the price....and I actually chose this one over the Tribit and Oontz after my sound tests. The sound was on par with the other 2 (similar wattage to the Oontz) and I liked this one just a hair more than the Oontz because it was a little crisper sounding where the Oontz was a little fuller...if that makes sense. So with the sound being the same, the fact that I could ALSO pair multiple Doss speakers for a multi speaker set up just like the Oontz (this is a great feature for when entertaining guests/having a small party/get-together), and considering I'd primarily be using this in a bedroom (where the powerbank wouldnt come in as handy like the Oontz has).....I had to choose this one. I didnt realize it was the cheapest until I had finished testing all 3 and went back to the invoice. This is the best bang for your buck speaker of the 3 and im big on value....but dont mind spending either if the value is there. --Why I would choose this speaker (Tribit Stormbox Micro 2): This one is the most travel friendly. Its the smallest and has a strap across the backside of it so you can easily attach it to a backpack, bike, UTV/ATV or any type of bar....the straps so tight to the body of the speaker that you can even put it on something as small as a car antenna and itd hold securely. Since the strap is snug to the body it stays secured. They dont list the wattage and this had the lowest wattage of the bunch at 10w compared to the other 2 at 20w/21w each.....but it was without a doubt equally as loud as the other two with trebles and bass being on par with the other two. Id really like to see how loud and clean a tribit with higher wattage sounds if this 10w speaker matched the higher wattage speakers I compared it to in my test. --Why I would choose the Oontz Angle 3 Pro instead: This one was the biggest and beefiest which I am a fan off....but I dont want you to think its a brick. its still plenty light where it wont feel like a burden lugging it around. This one also has a ocean/boat theme color pattern which is sweet and almost swayed me since i will be using this on my boat too. The other thing that almost swayed me was that the speaker can be used as a powerbank!!! So this ones sound is just as good as the other but the standout features are the looks, and the fact that it can be used as a powerbank which can come in very handy. Its not included but they have a bracket mount that clamps on to stuff.......not sure how it would hold up to movement and things like that but there is that option out there. These can also be paired with other Oontz speakers for a multi speaker set up. --Why I would choose the Doss Soundbox Pro: I hate to admit it but the price....and I actually chose this one over the Tribit and Oontz after my sound tests. The sound was on par with the other 2 (similar wattage to the Oontz) and I liked this one just a hair more than the Oontz because it was a little crisper sounding where the Oontz was a little fuller...if that makes sense. A good unit with many features, and perhaps a tad pricey because of those features
In the world of Bluetooth speakers, this one struck me as a tad pricey, but not overly so. I am hoping for quality of build to let this thing last many years, and we'll see how that works. Meantime, the sound is nice. I use it mostly to listen to podcasts (including podcasts with music) and to stream stuff from Amazon music and Pandora, and the sound quality is OK for me for those purposes. I haven't used the bass emphasis button, finding I don't need that for what I listen to. The lighting feature is amusing, but I keep it off to lengthen battery life. The speakers provide a stereo sound, but I can't really discern a stereo result. Which is OK, I wasn't really expecting much in those regards, considering the speakers are so close to one another. The unit pairs with my iPhone extremely quickly. Haven't had it long enough to assess battery life (which can be a function of volume, use of lighting effects, use of the bass effect, and perhaps the phase of the moon). Overall, it meets my expectations fully and feels like it is well made.

Great little unit for the price
I was a bit skeptical about purchasing the DOSS SoundBox. i asked myself - can a Bluetooth speaker this small really deliver the great sound that is advertised. Well, the answer is a resounding yes. For a unit this size it packs a punch and is equally effective at low volume. One reviewer commented that the mid=range had a static quality and a humming sound at low volume but that did not happen with me, The sound is crystal clear throughout the entire sound spectrum. The small size makes it super easy to carry anywhere and though it is lightweight is is still sturdily built. A carrying case would have been a nice touch but maybe someone at DOSS will think of it. It is advertised as waterproof but I had not tried it under those conditions though the description clearly says not to submerge the unit - it would be OK in rain or sprinklers but even then why take the chance? The controls take a little bit of time to master. The lights s for instance are controlled by long pressing the bass boost or by using the mode button for different color displays as I understand. The volume can be controlled by the plus and minus buttons on the top left of the unit but if you long press them you either go to the previous track or the next one - found this out. The volume on the unit is very useful however as you do not have to access the volume from your paired device, especially if you receive a phone call through the speaker. In this case adjust the volume accordingly - otherwise you so not need to stop the music - the music automatically pauses just as if you were listening to music from the paired device alone. After the call the music will resume. The BassBoost does increase the bass some but not a great deal. it is still enough however to enhance the music. If one desires a huge bass output then use external speakers or buy a bigger Bluetooth speaker The battery life is just fine at 20 hours and it would take around 3-4 hours to fully recharge. So this unit fits my needs perfectly and should satisfy just about anyone but the most finicky. In my opinion the DOSS Sound Box cannot be beat for the size or the price. Just go for it.

Strong BT connection, sounds good and the battery lasts a decent length
decent quality sound. Long battery life didn't expect more than that for my use case. We use this speaker when working around the garden so it needed to be tough and handle the weather. works perfectly for this. Connectivity is straight forward and solid Durability is good but don't drop it too many times. good value for what I paid for it.

Great sound volume and quality at this price range
I agree with other reviewers that this speaker provides good quality sound and volume as compared with other speakers in the same price range. It certainly has a higher available total volume than my previous small speaker and a slightly more expensive speaker I returned just the other day (for the primary issue of failing to pair with the phone). I use a portable speaker infrequently - primarily for playing music for group fitness classes when I am in a space that is not equipped with a sound system or separate speaker. Yesterday I used it for classes re. core strength and stretching and it had no problem filling the room with sound at about half the total volume setting on my phone. For overall sound quality as well as volume, my standard to compare with is the UE Wonderboom 3. This little round speaker can be quite loud if you push up the volume on your music. Most reviewers describe the sound quality as more full, or having better representation of bass and percussion than speakers in the price range of the SoundBox Pro, and I agree. It sells for roughly double the price of the Doss SoundBox Pro. If I used a speaker more often for my own listening, I would likely opt for this more expensive option. Since I use a speaker only when I absolutely need to, the primary consideration is enough volume to fill the room and decent quality sound. The Doss SoundBox Pro fulfills these needs at a price that is much easier to justify.

Sound Quality O.K.
If all you have is a laptop speaker or you buying this as a phone loudspeaker then this is a good buy for you. Do not expect rich bass. Extra Bass feature seems iffy, you are better off setting up EQ settings on your phone or PC/Laptop. Some tracks that heavily rely on bass (quite a rare occurrence, I'd say 95% of the time you should be fine) will force the speaker to cut those high frequency bands, giving you a feel as though you're turning Extra Bass feature on and off throughout the track :c. The best solution I have for squeezing out that bass potential off of this speaker is strategically placing it in a 'sub-woofer location'. This would be the floor (under your table for instance) and normally to the side of the position you are sitting in (corners would be nice too). If you simply put it at the sides of your monitor on top of the desk you can still get some nice booms but not that deeper/softer vibration you can get form the floor and/or corner. I found controls pretty standard to any other bluetooth device, with few pokes and clicks you don't even need to read the manual XD (although I did read the manual to check for any missed features). Once you connect it to the phone it'll show battery level icon in the task bar, like most headphones nowadays. I found loudness of the speaker very satisfactory (in a small room maybeh too loud :P). Initially, the volume buttons were not 'synced?' with the phone controls, so when I tried to turn the volume up I hit a speaker limit. It started to beep- telling me that the volume is maxed even though it was not playing very loud. Once I used the phone volume buttons it actually properly leveled the volume and the sweet sweet sound of eardrum breaking air vibrations was unleashed :O. So watch out for this initial 'glitch'. Was happy to see that you can disable the light (it has 3 or 6 different colors solid, blinking; did not look into this feature too much cuz it annoys me :P). The build feels solid. Nice, soft texture. On medium volume gets a bit warm on the top. Bluetooth range is decent as long as either of the connected devices is not too close to your body (for instance phone is in your pocket) and in-between the devices (walls are fine, density difference?IDK lol). Calling feature is decent enough. You may find yourself forced to talk a bit louder than usual unless you are right in front of the speaker XD. Once the call is terminated music restarts play automatically, unless you use the phone to hang up. You cannot dial or use Siri or any other phone assistant via speaker. Although if your phone is nearby and music isn't too loud 'Hey Siri' works well. That should be it; although I just got it I'm satisfied with what I see and hear. Hopefully it lasts.

Sound is flat and muddy. EQ is required to listen to this
I have been using a FUGOO bluetooth speaker for about two years and have been very happy with it. I have been working from home since the beginning of the pandemic and decided I wanted another speaker. One to set to the laptop and another for my phone. I always peruse the various offerings and extensively read the reviews. The reviews were high for this speaker so I thought I would give it a shot. What sold me was the "stereo" connection between two speakers, price and ratings. I bought two. I have Prime so the speakers were delivered quickly and safely the next day. Packaging was fine. The speakers come with a male-to-male 3.5 mm aux cable, which can come in handy if you wish to connect directly to a music source. It also comes with a USB-B charging cable. |The speakers were 50% charged when I received them. I fairly quickly connected to my phone (Android) with the bluetooth pairing. The "party lights" are ok and you have your choice of three primary solid colors or four changing colors. I just keep it on the solid Blue color as I find them a bit distracting when working. I wish they gave the option for either a solid (not flashing) border color or the ability to just turn the lights off, but they do not. The build is solid and not a light , cheap "plasticky" feel. The buttons are rubber and have a good feel when pressed. After playing a round with the different settings and volume controls I decided to give the second speaker a run and see what the "stereo" connection sounded like. Connecting the stereo connection was a bit more cumbersome but, finally was able to get he speakers to talk to each other and I was good to go. I had read an earlier review that said the stereo sound was not true stereo and the same sound came out of both speakers. That was not true for my first run. I found excellent stereo separation and I recommend you try a few songs to test the capabilities of the speakers connected to each other. My first song to go was the classic Led Zepplin "Whole Lotta Love", if you are familiar with that song you know it was originally recorded for "quad" sound to give the feeling of a swarming and swirling wall of sound. The stereo effect was quite noticeable and clear. Other songs were The Cars, "Moving in Stereo" and the seminal Billy Thorpe "Children of the Sun". The stereo works! Sound. To this point, I have had nothing but good things to say about these speakers. However, here is where I am disspointed. The sound of my music comes across very flat. My recording are FLAC (lossless) and I expect to hear the full range of music with bright crisp and clean highs as well as clear solid bass and crisp mid-range. In a word these speakers are "muddy". I don't need to apply the Bass boost as I feel it would only degrade the quality further. The speakers do put out a fair amount of sound and even at low settings tend to be a bit loud (when working). I needed to play with my equalizer settings to try and resolve the muddy issues and that helped to some extent, but it only works on downloaded songs played directly through an installed player. If you are going to utilize a streaming service, such as Spotify, Pandora, Radio Paradise or even a cloud based player such as Google Player, then you are stuck with the muddiness quality. It would be nice if DOSS had a sound app that other bluetooth speakers, ear buds and head phones have. Until then you are relegated to a well-built speaker with limited capabilities. One note the sound will tend to do better at about a 2/3 to 3/4 volume, but at that level you would probably want to be outside as it tends to be a bit loud for inside use, unless you are cleaning and want to be able to listen to the music from any room in the house. I then switched to a few different genres, Jazz, Blues, Classical.....again the sound, though a bit better was flat to me. I did use the speakers for a phone call and the microphone worked well, with the other person saying they did not hear back ground noise or echo. Over all, I suppose you get what you pay for. The build is good and solid, functionality is fairly easy and intuitive. The stereo aspect with two speakers is a huge plus! Unfortunately, the sound quality pulls this speaker set down from a solid 4 stars to a standard 3 stars. They aren't bad speakers, I just can't get over how flat they are.
