Top notch battery worth the price
I purchased this same battery over 8 years ago for my Yamaha R6 - 2011. Needless to say, this is an excellent battery to purchase. The key is to FULLY charge the battery before installing. Voltage should be somewhere in the range of 13.1 to 13.3 volts before installing. IF the battery ever falls below 12.7 volts, it should be charged again. In all cases. use a 12v, 1 amp or 12v, 1.25 amp charger. NEVER fast charge a battery of any kind. Heat build-up in a battery is 'bad'.I expect this battery to last over 8 years as well. If you purchase a quality battery and take care of it, this is a better deal.

Battery review Yuasa YTZ10S
This is both about the distributor and the product. I've bought two Yuasa batteries from Avid Cycles and both of them were charged to the optimal voltage and are holding their charges well. The first battery is now 4 months old and still holds at 12.8V. The second was just installed a day ago from the writing of this review (so the jury is still out on long term) but so far it looks good. Yuasa is a reputable brand and I have had good luck in the past with them overall. I would buy Yuasa and specifically look to buy them from Avid Cycles in the future.

Quality battery, not too old when shipped.
Battery arrived in good condition and appears genuine. Yuasa customer service was able to confirm the build date of the battery, which was produced about 9 months ago.

After long winter it started right up 👍
Fantastic battery. Installed in summer. Bike sat for 5 months over the winter and just now it started right up. A+

Lasted 17 months and now it's a paper weight
Bought this battery for my 2021 CB1000 in Oct 2023.On May 11 2025 it wouldn't start my bike.Plugged in the battery tender and went from 25% to 100% in under 2 minutes.Starter will turn over about half a rotation of the crank and fall flat.This is symptomatic of a fracture inside the battery.Not the kind of quality I expect from Yuasa.

Didn’t see a review for a similar motorcycle, so I’d figure that Id provide it. Perfect fit for a ‘17 Honda CB500F. Easy installation.

Beware, manufacturing date can be 1 year old
Beware, manufacturing date is 1 year old for the battery I received. Asking for replacement. It is not good for battery to be sitting around for so long. If you pay this much for a premium battery, you'd expect it to be within reasonable 6 months range from manufacturing date.
