Ceremonial allows you to enjoy the true taste of matcha as the Japanese have done for centuries. Does it contain caffeine? Yes, each half teaspoon (1g) contains about 34 mg of caffeine, about 1/3 cup of coffee. However, Matcha also contains L-Theanine, which has a calming and leveling effect, so you won't feel annoying or wired like coffee. What are other health benefits? - Promotes metabolism and helps burn calories. Soothes and relaxes you from stress or anxiety. Rich in antioxidants (137x as much in conventional green tea!) Can I still use Ceremonial Grade in recipes? Of course! Many iced tea and cocktail recipes even require special ceremonial quality matcha. Where does this matcha come from?
