Like walking on a pillow ♥️
I’ve dealt with Plantar Fasciitis for the last 5 years and tried many brands of sandals. I’ve been wearing Vionic flip flops every summer and they are great, but still don’t give me enough support when out and about. I need a new pair of the flip flops for at the pool, but needed more support. I wanted a sandal that had the support of a sneaker AND an ankle strap. I found it! This is exactly what I was wanting. Are they gorgeous on my foot? Maybe not. But oh my goodness, they are like walking on a pillow. The cushion in the heel is amazing. They are soft and cushy and make walking or standing for long periods of time so much easier. My feet are not sore by the end of the day. Someone else mentioned needing to break these in. I did not have that issue. They fit great and were comfortable right out of the box. I normally wear a size 8.5, but remember in a shoe with an arch support that it lifts your foot and you wear a half size or so smaller. I ordered an 8 and they are perfect. The arch hits my arch right where I needed it. Someone else mentioned them being narrow. I also did not have that issue. They are just right. If you are looking for a good walking sandal or a sandal with the support of a sneaker, this is it. I would give them 10 stars for comfort if I could. Best thing I’ve put on my feet in years.

Comfortable, good support, and pretty
I am like the princess and the pea when it comes to shoes, with the slightest little thing hurting me (hence I live in Crocs), but these are both cute and comfortable. I got them to help my plantar fasciitis and I think they are doing the trick. I can go for walks without pain and my feet feel well supported. I am a very reliable size 6 and the 6 fits me fine. Most importantly, my shoes match my dog.

Quality, style, comfort, very high arch
Very well made, and attractive, good quality leather, very adjustable, might run slightly large. I wear an 8 1/2 - 9, the 9 was too big, the 8 1/2 seems right. Good traction and a very stable shoe. I like the overall size and look, a nice big sole that gives some protection to your toes without looking big, but tbh I like big chunky shoes, I couldn't find any platforms that fit, these look good to me. I'm still deciding if the arch support will be too much for my foot. Hoping they work for me, I really like them. Edit: Sadly I have to return, the arch was too high, it made my toes swell up. A too high arch is bad for your feet like no arch support it turns out. It's a great shoe IF you can wear Vionic. I'll stick with my TEVAs.

Best arch support in a walking sandal
I recently learned that I have a pronated arch on my right foot. After a soft orthotic device relieved my lower back pain and tight right hip, I shopped for hiking sandals with a supportive arch. I tried on sandals from Dr. Scholl's, Teva, Keen, Dansko, Viakix, Chaco, Birkenstock, and Vionic. Those last three had the best arch support. The Chacos rubbed my feet at the piece where the heel strap joins the sandal, though I really liked the toe strap. Birkenstock doesn't make hiking sandals. These Wanderer sandals by Vionic, are, as far as I can tell, the only hiking sandals from Vionic--and they are the winner of the bunch! These sandals are super light and achieve great arch support as well as cushioning for long walks/hikes. (One shoe salesperson said the arch is too high for most people, and I agree that Vionic's arch is the highest I tried.) The packaging said to break them in gradually, which is good advice. It took a few days to figure out where to adjust the three straps to give the right fit without being too tight or too loose. I wore these hiking on the third day I had them and ended up with blisters after the first 1/2 mile from both the arch and the straps. Some Bandaids plus wearing them for shorter periods on the following days have helped my feet adjust; no more blisters. These sandals add over an inch to my height, and surround my foot with more material that what I'm used to on my narrower sandals, but they feel stylish, like oversized athletic shoes. I wear a US size 7.5 and these sandals are true to that size. I'm really happy with this purchase. I tried on some other Vionic shoes at a local store and am happy that the arch support is consistent across styles because now I know Vionic is my go-to brand.

Great for high arches but maybe not narrow feet
Five stars for comfort-Very comfortable for my high arch feet. My complaint is the strap-I have pretty narrow feet and once I have the strap tight across the top of my foot by my ankle, there is a large piece hanging off the side. I really don’t like the way it looks.

Pebbles in your Shoe!
These shoes have grooves in the sole, if your feet shed or sweat, dirt gathers in the groove,s and it feels like you are walking with pebbles in your shoes. They are comfortable if you clean them every 15 or 20 minutes. I love Vionics, but this style is very irritating.

Great for high arches and plantar fasciitis
I have high arches and over the years as I've gotten older I definitely have achy feet especially upon awakening in the morning. I read the reviews on the sandal and I needed support and comfort for a trip to Japan where I knew I was going to be walking thousands of steps up and down stairs. I took a chance on these sandals and while they are NOT fashionable or attractive by any means and remind me of something my grandmother would wear, I 110% recommend these sandals for people with high arches and plantar fasciitis! The days I wore them in Japan I did not have any foot pain that day or the next day! I only wish they were a little more attractive looking but the bonus says since it rained so much while we were there they are waterproof and held up just fine.

COMFORT!
I have very high arches, high insteps and over-pronate on one foot I first tried the Vionic walk athletic shoe and I literally said “aaah”. For sandals I tried many then finally ordered the walk. Another “aaah” moment. I have happy feet. They DO rub a bit on my ankle but they’re brand new. Will adjust.
