Easy installation. Connected the light to HomeKit using Matter. If doing this, be sure your network has ipv6 enabled, as the Govee Matter instructions indicate. I missed this at first, and it wouldn’t connect. Once enabled, connected easily and controllable through Apple Home. You get full functionality and customization using the Govee app, which is also pretty decent. Dimming is smooth, and offers good brightness for its size.

I love this light. I just moved into a new home and I'm in the process of replacing all of the out dated light fixtures. For the money, it's hard to beat Govee's products now that they have embraced Matter. Color reproduction is not as good as Hue products - I have to say that, but the entire light fixture costs less than a regular color HUE Bulb and is about 1/5 of a Hue light fixture. I did splurge on a Hue fixture for the rooms that I really want that enhanced color and control, but this Govee is perfect for areas like my laundry/utility room, my entry way, etc... I spent the same amount as this Govee for a light fixture from Ikea that felt incredibly cheap and wasn't smart at all, let alone color. Seriously, you can't beat the Govee on the price. Installation is easy - the bracket included is very adjustable and has plenty of screw holes to attach to a regular ceiling electrical box or improvise. In my utility room, for example, I only had a standard electrical box in the ceiling - a fluorescent light was located there when I moved in. I was able to wire this up without issue and screwed the bracket into the joists, through the drywall. It also includes drywall anchors if you want to try that... it's pretty light, you would probably be okay, but I definitely prefer being able to go into something solid. Only odd thing: No ground. Just like the fluorescent lights I replaced with this, there is no ground on the light. Just black and white wires. I guess if the previous light didn't need ground, it's not a big deal. The light portion seems to be totally sealed and twists onto the ceiling bracket. I like this, because I think it's sealed for bugs not to get into it - a very annoying thing that happens with fixtures where the light cover simply twists/screws on. Hopefully this is true, and I don't have to worry about bugs getting into it. Crossing my fingers on this. As far as brightness and white light, it's great. It gives off more light than the 4ft fluorescent bulb it replaced in the laundry room. Colors are decent, but not really the reason I got this - just a perk in addition to being smart. I have it setup in both the Govee App and setup in HomeKit thanks to Matter. There is a slight delay when asking Siri to turn it on and off, but not horrible - and that might have to do with my current system. The plan is to put a motion sensor in the laundry room, so it will turn on and off automatically. Overall, yeah - this is a good one.

Very nice, LIght works well with Google Alexa. Good pricing and very easy to install. The light color is great. The only issue I have is I am Apple ecosystem, and they do not work well with Matter, even though they say they are "Matter" capable. Nice LIght but not working well for my home Setup. Adding an additional Start due to Govee threw me a coupon for my troubles. After further review, no mater how many homepods (Apple) you have in the house, for some reason they are not all in use, it picks one as the main Hub, so if the light is far from this HomePod, Matter will not work well.

Love this light and all Govee products. I mounted one as my kitchen main light and another over the kitchen sink. It provides great ambiance during social gatherings. Installation was a breeze. I had it up and running in less than 20 minutes, including taking out the previous light. The bracket system made mounting it extremely easy and it came with wire clips instead of wire nuts which in my opinion was much better. The white light of this light is extremely bright. For standard function, I typically keep it at 50% brightness due to how bright it is. It comes preprogrammed with lots of great lighting options and a sharing platform - so you can see how others are using it. It you like multi-color, automated lighting systems- Govee is your go-to.

Govee is the only smart lights I will buy from now on, have 9 bulbs or devices, all work well and have for over 1 year

This light is fantastic, I needed extra lumens in the garage because fluorescent lights don’t cut it. Wow the difference in how much more light the Govee light puts out. Plus I can change the color temperature to true daylight so I can see the actual colors of the wood varnish. I have it setup with Govee’s presence detector so the light automatically comes on when a person is in the garage. The installation was very easy and the app recognize the light very quickly. Only complaint is the app’s automations could be easier to navigate But it’s no different than most google type interface. The matter integration what saved it, makes it easy to add to HomeKit. Highly recommend

I found this fixture very easy to install and connect to my home's wifi. I have other Govee lamps and this is just another that is added to my phone app. So far it works well with my Amazon Echo/Alexa. It's very bright on full blast. I keep it at about 60% in the kitchen and it's plenty of light for most tasks.

Solid light but mine didn’t come with the accessory kit so I didn’t have the connectors or screws to mount it. Originally 3 stars Update: I got it up using hardware from previous projects. They (Govee) sent me a full refund and I am very pleased bumped up to 5 stars for excellent and fast customer service.

After a few months I am experiencing an issue where the light does a strobe effect when it is turned on. The colour and brightness settings also reset when this happens. I will be removing this light tomorrow and install a regular ceiling light. Update: Govee reached out to me and helped me with my problem. They did not ask me to, but I am raising the rating because of their great customer service. Thanks Govee!

Install was easy, connection to wifi was flawless, setup was a breeze. A very bright and functional light. Works perfectly with Google Home.
