These bottles were great for the small batches of colors and viscosities I needed to make my family’s Christmas cookies. The small tips made writing and outlining easy. I could adjust the tip width for flooding. I appreciate the cap for airtight refrigerator storage. They were easy to squeeze and held up to my decorating needs.

Works well for icing cookies.

I won’t bore you to tell you of all the many bottles i have tried out over the years in an effort to find those that work well for my 9 grandchildren to decorate cookies and cupcakes with!! Some have been too stiff for them to squeeze. Others have tiny red caps that roll away and disappear, still others have such small openings i have to put each color into a piping bag and slowly... ever so slowly squeeze the icing into each bottle. I’ve tried using plastic ziploc style bags and for the older ones it works for awhile but eventually the icing pops out the top and it gets so warm in their hot little hands it melts the icing. Really I’ve tried around 8 different brands without satisfaction. I am so happy to report that I am crazy happy about these writer bottles!!!! They are thinner cylindrical bottles with a fine tip (small hole) that you can make larger if you wish. The plastic is sturdy yet flexible and soft. Very easy to squeeze for little fingers and for my arthritic ones! You can even hold them like a fat pin if you want to use like an icing pen! The cherry on top?? The so very helpful clear small on tip cover. It is so easy to put on and off and keeps the icing from drying out!! The ones with an attached tip just get in the way and the tiny red ones are hard to keep up with and seem to crack easily. The only suggestion i have is that they make a set with clear, white or black tips. These are brightly colored tips but don’t match the colors of icing we use at different times. It would be nice, especially for kids to have the bottles all white or clear so the only color is the icing color- no confusion for them! In spite of this, we loved them and will be only using them in the future!

I thought they would be bigger, however I made them work. On occasion they would clog up and it was a hassle to unclog them. By the time I got to the end of decorating I finally got a rhythm to be more efficient. I was using royal icing which was challenge in getting the right consistency and using the smallest bottles was a hassle as I had to constantly refill them. I used them to decorate cookies for my daughter's baby shower. Which turned out okay. Tasted great, looked okay but not my best work.

I love these with the tiny tips for writing with frosting.

So easy to use. I liked that you could trim the tip to make the hole slightly bigger. So much easier than using a pastry bag!
