Yes. I successfully dyed a dress in such a machine.

Will this work on nylon equipment?

In short....NO it doesn't work very well at all. I even ask for my money back but did not get it. Just go to Wal-Marts as I finalyl did.

How many of these would I need for one chair slipcover?

Hello, This product is suitable for: cotton, linen & viscose. Mixes with synthetics will dye to lighter shades (pure synthetics will not dye). One pack dyes 600g of fabric to full shade, up to 1.8kg to lighter shades. Kind regards Tamara
