Anyone else think this is a poorly made kit? the reviews seem disingenuous and mine was near useless. not professional grade by far.

Yes, I agree. This was a waste of money, could not get it to work correctly and wound up taking my watch to the Jeweler to have links removed.

Does the tool work on timex expandable bands?

I do not believe it will... It seems to have everything I have needed for different type link bracelets, but the Timex flex bands are very different... Does the MFR have any idea?
