Great fit
I like that it's snug and fits well. At first I was alarmed to pick up 40 lbs, but after continuous use, it is extra weight that I've gotten used to. Makes my brisk walks even more challenging especially up hills! Wish it had a pocket for my phone and water bottle - that would be nice. Others I looked at that had those items were just too expensive. This is a great entry level product that suits my interests. Most important is that it fits well and it does! I'm 5' 10", 190 lbs and my chest is wider than most men my size, but the fit is solid. Good construction on the material. Other item of importance is the comfort. Admittedly, wearing a vest with this much weight strains your shoulders so get the shoulder straps and what I did was I added more cushion with thick, micro fiber towels under the straps. That does the trick! Otherwise a solid product for good price point.

Heavy Weight Champ
Just got this, hence the tentative 4 stars on some things. But it is HEAVY when loaded up and velcros together well. One of the few that actually comes with the weights in it, at least from the research that I did. Some people said that it had a smell to it, but mine smelled perfectly fine/didn't really smell like anything. I love that there's so many options for different weights to work with, it's easy to slide the sandbags in and out, and it seems to be well made so far. It does seem to be made more for male figures, so if you're a smaller female you may have some trouble with it.Will update later but I'm really happy with this purchase.

Holds up well
Just bought this a couple days ago, very happy with the purchase so far and I have in two workouts run it through the ringer. Fist I am 5’6” woman with a shorter torso and long legs, so the vest is a little long on me -about one and a half inches too long, I got the 40 pounder but with the inch and a half extra space I can also shove another 10 pound weight inside to up the intensity and help stability. So far I have not done any running or jumping in it BUT as a former swimmer and water polo player I've put it through its paces in the water. I ran across the bottom of the pool , swam in it, treaded water, pulled the sand bags out and used some of them to hold up while treading water, did all sorts of underwater calisthenics and no problems so far (I do not recommend this unless you are a very very experienced swimmer). On land I’ve done more calisthenics, boxed in it, worked out on the precore with it and done tones of squats and lunges. It’s held up fine, in and out of the water. So far no rips or tears, no sand falling out, nada. It’s al little hard to get all the way down in squats bc of it’s length, and my short torso but that’s not an excuse not to get it. So it was a good purchase- hope this helps.

Says for men but worked well for this woman.
As the description says it is meant for a man and will not be fitted to a woman’s body however it does not mean a woman cannot use it. The straps are adjustable so you can get it to sit comfortably around your body with minimal shifting while running. The adjustable weights come in a series of small bars that you can add to the pockets of the vest. so theoretically if you wanted to go past 40 pounds you would find some type of weight to fit into those pockets and you would be good to go

Should be helpful to Type 2 Diabetics
I'm an "old geezer", nearly 80 years old and am fighting Type 2 Diabetes. In Adam Brown's book "Bright Spots & Landmines" he states that a 30 minute walk could lower your blood glucose level by 30 to 60 mg/dl. I've tried this and found, in my case, to be true. He indicates that riding a bike will double this result. I now walk every other day with the vest and am hoping to even get a better result. Adam recommends using a vest to increase heart rate while walking. I'll try this for a few months and plan on wearing the belt every day eventually. I walk daily and lift weights 4 times per week and ride my bike, now that the weather is finally getting better and daylight saving time is hear a few times per week. So, I like the vest, I think you can take out some of the weights but I'll stay with the 20 pounds. Try Adam's book too. My weight and BP are now normal but my A1c has spiked over the Winter - I'm to see my doc next week and I'm sure she is going to yell at me. I'm hoping the vest and Adam's book will get me back to an A1c of 7.

Good vest for great price!
I use this vest for training rock climbing and leg strength. It is a well made vest for this price. The vest fits me quite well, large velcro straps keep it tight. If it gets dirty, I just use a wet towel wipe it off. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase!

They work, but they smell horrible.
Seems like great vest, but they smell awful!! On the first day they smelled absolutely horrible before ever putting them on. I washed both of them on a light cold water wash and air dryer then in front of a fan, and they still smell horrible. We use them, and they work great, but you will have to endure that smell.**I increased the rating by 1 star as the customer service department issued a partial refund to compensate for the awful smell these canme with.** I wouldn’t say the entire problem is solved, but they asked if I would improve my rating.
