This slicer is a game changer. I've already tried slicing several types of bread with great success. The thickness is adjustable. The handle action is smooth and the blade is sharp. I make bread every week and unfortunately, I am not good at getting even slices. This item changed all of that! It also does not take up a lot of counter space. The suction cups that hold the unit when you are slicing are very strong. My suggestion is to put a paper towel or a dish towel under the unit when storing it on the counter so that you don't need to struggle to move it to where you will be using it. Great product, highly recommend.

This slicer is easy to use and cuts even slices quickly. It works great on crusty bread as well as soft-crust bread. I especially like that it can be set for very thin slices--something that is hard to do with a kitchen knife. The suction cups are strong and keep the slicer in place. Tip: For storage in my cabinet, I placed a sheet of parchment paper beneath it so it would not stick. The slicer is lightweight yet effective. I will use this for bread only so that the clean-up is also easy. I am happy with this purchase.

Just what I was looking for. I was raised in Europe and enjoy a good loaf of sourdough bread. We bake daily in my family and this is my new favorite kitchen helper. Beautiful slices that are perfect for sandwiches and so much more. Very simple to use and beautifully made. This item comes with plastic cover perfect for keeping dust off.

Great for all types of bread- yeast and sourdough. It works well and cuts well as long as you keep the blade housing tight so it doesn’t wobble. Love the suction cups to hold it in place. Can cut loaves in 5-10 minutes instead of struggling for 30 minutes to get inconsistent slices. The only thing I’m not impressed by is the dust cover. When they say plastic it’s more like the plastic that batteries or kids toys come in. I would have paid more for a nice plastic cover that fits well so I could leave it out on my counter.

This is super easy to use and slices very cleanly. I like the guard on it where the slices come out. The only thing I would like better would be to have a cover for at least the blade during storage.

We love it! We bake all our bread, min of 2 loaves a week.We'd been using a plastic slicing guide but had problems getting the slices even and would get shavings from the guide along with our uneven slices. I figured we have the same problems with the metal and wood/bamboo types as well.This slicer is perfect! easy to use, the slice guide keeps the slice from interferring with the crank handle. One review complained about the inch scale on the wood coming off. We removed the slice guide and covered inch scale with a piece of clear, vinyl tape, then reattached the slice guide. It doesn't even create a lot of crumbs like the other one we had.

Slicer looks good, but the protective cover was missing. They enclosed a card in the box to say to email them if any problems, promising 24 hr response. We emailed 4 days ago, no response. We will return for refund.

It works so well. I tried one of the alternatives and it wasn’t as well made. Tended to slip on the counter and the slices wasn’t exact. This was a tad more expensive but significantly tighter construction. Cuts smoothly and cleanly. Well worth the money.
