I've tried several different protectors and this is easily my favorite. Amazon sent me a *used* set. Yes. Used. Pubic hair included. It was in a 'Ready to Ship' poly bag. It was overnighted by Lone Star, who left it on the side of the road near my mailbox in the tick infested grass where all the traffic driving by could see a package, instead of at our house like _every_ other delivery company. Lucky it wasn't stolen. So, Amazon: FAIL. Lone Star: FAIL. Note this was Amazon fulfillment's fault, NOT the seller. The seller, and owner of the company, Craig, came to my rescue. He promptly shipped out a *new* pair directly to me. It still came in a poly bag, but a normal packaging bag with a UPC label indicated what was supposed to be in it, instead of a shipping bag. The cup was also wrapped in it's own plastic, and there was a product tag in the bag for Diamond. Seller: WIN! Fast service and made things right. On to the product. I was worried about all the straps being an issue. It has a lot of straps - two inside and two outside. It isn't really difficult at all to figure out how to wear, and I was pleased with how comfortable it was. The straps were not irritating like my other (Walmart) jock strap. The compression shorts are very comfortable. I've been wearing relaxed fit size 38 pants for several years, and after starting krav maga a few months ago I've been losing inches (not weight). I haven't tested yet to see if I fit in my old 36's, but I wouldn't be surprised with all the slack my 38's have had and the tightened notches on my belt. Anyway, the XL set fits well without me worrying about ripping out the shorts. Not a lot of compression, but they are at least skin tight for me. This is _WAY_ better than the shorts/cup combo I picked up at a local sports store. Those shorts were too tight and the cup was a joke. I don't know how anyone can fit their giblets inside those skinny banana things... The cup that comes with the Diamond MMA is a good shape and reasonable size and comfortable inside the pocket of the shorts. I dock a star from the product because there is only once size cup (adult large), and it takes some arranging to attempt to pack everything in there. It also doesn't allow any airflow. Is it worth $90? I'm on the fence still. I'll keep the excellent shorts, and the cup is good enough for now, though I may still find myself shopping around for a bigger one. The excellent customer service certainly helps make it worth it. **UPDATE** I've been in krav maga for nearly 3 years now, 3 classes a week. Down to size 34 waist, and the XL still fits OK. I've been swapping between 2 sets of these shorts over the last 2 1/2 years, and it's finally time to replace the compression shorts as the rubber straps are getting too damaged from washing. I wash them with the cup still in place. Happily they sell the shorts alone for a bit less. It is absolutely worth the money. I don't plan to ever buy a different brand. These have solidly protected me against random crotch shots over the years quite well. I do not wear them for extended running (we had to run a timed mile in a recent test) to prevent chafing.

I don't know what these other companies think when making j straps for youth baseball players, but they are off. If you have watched little boys play baseball, you know they are always messing with their cups the entire game. When my son would catch, his cup would constantly slip down, leaving it all exposed. We had bought many different brands and styles, and they all failed horribly. We eventually just took it up as this was just how it was until he was older. I probably would have never spent this much money on something that would only fit my son for a season, but after taking a pitch straight to his jewels, I didn't care what it cost. These j strap boxers are worth every penny. We just bought our 2nd pair and will continue to do so each season. My son loves how comfortable they are. The cup is ideal for his size, and it stays perfectly in place.

It fits well and the diamond cup itself is super durable! It has saved me from a few unintended groin shots during my fencing matches. One thing I wasn't expecting was the blue straps inside the underwear to dig into my skin. It's like ripping off a band-aid after every match.

My 16-yr old son is 5'7 and 230 pounds. He has been in Karate for over 9 years. One thing that he always had problems with were the way the compression shorts /jock straps fit. I was hesitant at first to fork over the $$$ for these, but I am so glad I did. These are worth every penny. He said these are the most comfortable shorts he has ever had. The only downside is that the cup.... which is nice, it's just not a good fit for him. But we have tons of other cups, and he was able to find one that he likes to use instead.
