wonderful story line though historically the Anastasia fairytale and drama during the Russian Revolution is not true

Great movie I would definitely recommend you watch it.

Part musical this children's drawn film is based on the story of Anastasia. The way the film was created was very artistically done with a fantastic group of voices and some memorable music. Anastasia is an orphan, a grifter wants to audition for an Anastasia, finding no one yet he repairs to the palace where he squats. Inside he finds a girl who could be what he is looking for. Taking her to Paris and teaching her all she needs to know, they both find out that she may be what he was looking for all along in more ways than one. It has a few harsher scenes when the bad guys hit the scene so might not be suitable for the very young but the story is endearing and beautifully told. Certainly worth a look. It has been one of my favourites for a long time. Picture and sound amazing with the Bluray.

I really like Anastasia [DVD] its a good childhood and great film to watch

The case doesn't close properly and the disc wasn't put in place but the DVD itself is fine

This film is so well made that it often gets mistaken for a disney film although it is a 20th century fox production. But that shows the quality of the musicality and animation as well as the story telling. I certainly hold it high in my very large collection of animated films (Proberly 80+) which is over run by disney! If you have not seen this, firstly why not?! And secondly do it now this was an excellent price when I purchased this product.

Oh My Goodness - This Bluray is FANTASTIC! It is awash with so many extras including BARTOK THE MAGNIFICENT, which is a whole extras film. Also, as this is both Bluray & DVD you'll be able to watch it on any player. I love this film. Presented in its proper ratio(s) it is such a joy. Myself and my girls love this. It's the film Disney wish they had made and ex-Disney animator Don Bluth (An American Tale / The Secret of NIMH) actually did make. The songs are genuinely fabulous, ad the animation is excellent. Meg Ryan, John Cusack, Cristopher Lloyd, Kelsey Grammer, Hank Azaria, Burnadette Peters, Kirsten Dunst and Angela Lansbury make this an all star cast and a wonderful film. 2.35:1 Anastasia 1.33:1 Bartok (this is its original ratio)

Excellent movie, and the songs are lovely. This played no problem in our player in Canada.

Tengo que decir de que está llena de aventuras. No es una moñada, pero es a la vez romántica. La compré y no la conocía. Algo había oído, pero no tenía ni idea... incluso pensé que podía ser pesada y un pastelazo... Tengo que decir de que la película me ha sorprendido GRATAMENTE desde el primer momento... Y debo de darle el valor que se merece porque es realmente una película EXCEPCIONAL y PRECIOSA. Muy digna de tener en nuestras estanterías. Basada en una historia real. Trata de una princesa que en plena abundancia entran en una revolución y pierde a toda su familia. Criada en la distacia, llega a conocer al pinche y pícaro del palacio que le ayudó a escapar a ella y a su abuela querida para más tarde reencontrarse tras pasar un montón de aventnuras y trabas que le pone el mago negro Rasputin: Finalmente, vence a la maldición y acaba con su enamorado dejando todo lujo detrás. Me ha encantado, la verdad... Muy bonita trama.
